Urban Meyer on leadership🤣

Apparently, it's about preaching tolerance.

Urban Meyer is a contradiction in what he espouses vs what he tolerates.

Nevertheless, I'd hire him to the most expensive contract in college football history this second.

He's as close to a sure thing as you can get in college football.

I'd like to see him come to a program like SC and see what he could do. So far, he has only taken jobs at "can't miss" programs. UF in 2005 was loaded with talent and was still riding high on Spurrier's legacy. Tebow did more for Meyer than Meyer did for Tebow, evident by the fact that when Tebow left, Meyer suddenly had chest pains and needed hospitalization. He knew the talent level of the team was slipping and he wanted to quit but was pretty well shamed into returning. After the 2010 season (a 7-5 disappointment) Meyer resigned, saying he wanted to spend more time with his family.

Apparently, one year was enough time with his family. In 2011, he took the OSU job, another program absolutely loaded with talent and benefitting from a pillow soft B1G schedule so the path the BCS was wide open. He did what he always did, totally looked the other way at criminal behavior around his program and resigned in disgrace after the 2018 season. He claimed he was resigning for "health reasons".

Meyer is a total POS who makes Kiffen look like a paragon of virtue and morality. He would never take a coaching job at a program like SC or MSSt or Arkansas. He is only interested in jobs where all of the advantages are already built in and someone else has built the program to an elite level. He wants to be handed the keys. As far as what he tolerates, it seems to be pretty much anything.

When he took over at Utah, they were a marginally decent team, with one really good year in 1994 (10-2)scrappy but definitely not considered a can't miss opportunity.
He arrived in 2003 and completely turned them around going 22-2 in two seasons.
He can definitely coach, but his teams particularly at UF, is a prosecutors dream come true. You are absolutely correct in that he is a total POS

He tolerated players getting high before blocking field goal attempts the next day.

Both Bowling Green and Utah had highly skilled QBs. Both were drafted. I'm not saying Meyer isn't a good coach, he is. However, he is a coach who only takes jobs at programs where there is already plenty of talent in place when he arrives.

There is not enough money in the state of SC to entice him to come to SC.

In his defense 1 year with my family would probably be enough too.
