Drake gets that participation trophy, and the hawks beat 1 sweet 16 team all year. The chances that the hawks even remotely come close to the program in Ames, are zero. The programs are on completely different levels…..but you already knew that.

Iowa State literally thinks they're a blue blood inside their ****** Ames bubble

The last time was 1987. So is the expectation that that once every 39 years, is the standard. ISU is in the conversation every year and the hawks are not even invited to the party. In Ames, a Sweet 16 is a disappointment while making the tournament brings the excitement in Iowa City.
Iowa at 1 elite 8 every 39 years and having 2 in that time frame is still a higher standard than the clones and 1 more than isu has ever accomplished. ISU has only made the sweet 16 8 times ever and has a paltry is 1-7 record.

So minus 2000 every season has been a disappointment by your standards. Gotcha…. And pull your head out of your @SS with the lame Iowa is just excited to make the tourney which you know is such a BS claim. You as well as every knows that’s not the case and why Fran was fired cause he couldn’t make the 2nd weekend.

We just made the elite 8. And once again while you had a really nice regular season you got your *** kicked by Tennessee who then lost to Michigan by 50.
The most glaring difference between the programs is that ISU loses a 1st team AA and still makes the S16, and if Iowa loses their honorable mention AA they don’t make the tournament.

We know at this point TJ’s ceiling at ISU is the S16. We know Ben got Iowa to the E8 in year 1 with what will likely be his least talented roster top to bottom.

At any rate, I have a feeling this is TJs last year at ISU anyways before he reaches the same conclusion Campbell did. You can only do so much in this environment at ISU.

You obviously aren’t the sharpest tool since he just signed a 10 year extension at $6M per

Ahhhh. An argument based on assumptions.
There is literally no way that this statement can be supported with facts. It's a smoke screen that usually works well on those who are easily led astray and most often used by those who lack the ability to think critically.
Otherwise, they would refrain from making such a feeble argument.

When you are in the top 10 all year the tendency is to be disappointed with a Sweet 16. You certainly wouldn’t understand.
Jesus Christ, dude. Is your life that pathetic that you have to troll an Iowa message board to get validation?

No one cares about you or who your team is. Seriously. You are not relevant.

Get a life or find a therapist.

Not only that it makes no sense. Comparing them losing their player for 2 games and somehow equating loss of stirtz to not making the tournament. Talk about an apples to oranges comparison. Like are we talking stirtz only missing 2 games same as Jefferson, entire season? Can’t even specify in his whiny ramblings. Cause all isu had to do was beat one mediocre team and then got stomped game after without. Sure if he missed regular season or multiple games way they looked vs Tenn they wouldn’t have been a 2 seed. Even in his pathetic feeble attempt to bash Iowa it fails. As for stirtz funny how he forgets an 0-9 effort by him for 3 vs FL and we still knock off a 1 seed.

Stirtz is a big loss but he’s not irreplaceable imo. The only game he really carried the team in the tournament was ironically the Illinois game. There were plenty of games this season where I wasn’t seeing all the NBA glaze for him. He’s a really good player but he’s not irreplaceable imo.

Agreed - they will need to replace his offensive production for sure, but I also recall the regular season Illinois game where Iowa made a pretty good run and got back into the game with Stirtz on the bench. I forget, but I assume he was in foul trouble or something.

Where did you get “blue blood”, sport? I merely pointed out that the divide between programs is similar to the Grand Canyon.

How so? Iowa owns Iowa State in pretty much every metric there is in mens hoops and Iowa is coming off an elite 8 appearance. You also had a statue erected for a .500 coach inside Hilton Coliseum, nice expectations for the program.
