All.... Last year the largest postseason class 4A qualifier Hillcrest had an enrollment of 1001.00. Not that it matters as it pertains to the Flyers because they play up but another decline in enrollment. The drop from 1146.00 to 1,078.00.

Now almost all enrollments have changed and figuring out who might land where this early is impossible especially with the expansion of postseason teams many which will have losing records.

If I recall correctly the Ihsa puts out a preseason designation classifying all of the schools? Then after several weeks of play a follow up with the "Playoff Outlook" with numbers. It's going to be one crazy year .... Ratsy

MC has almost 1,200 students? I thought the number quoted here has been around 600 for years. If it's over a thousand, the Caravan are in good shape for the future.

Out of curiosity, how do has the 2026-27 classification cycle already been realized?
I could be wrong since IHSA has changed how they do classifications but my understanding is 2026-2027 classification is based on true 2025-2026 numbers. So basically the year before true enrollment then the obvious double if all boy/girl and multiplier if applicable.

JCA has been declining for the last two decades.
All.... If falling enrollment isn't bad enough that new insidious "rolling three-year period" success factor implemented last year. Hilltoppers will once again when the postseason arrives be in class 6A. By the way 534 (881.10 multiplied) is class 4A playoff territory. Ratsy

JCA will never be a Karen and complain about their classification. Thats the difference between Big Boy football and Karens...
All.... Success factor for all or no one. I do recall though tailgating with Titan fans in Chatham back in October many were quite vigilant (for weeks) busting future projected postseason numbers hoping 6A would not be their destination when the 256 qualifiers were announced. Go figure.... Ratsy

Marian Central and IC both under 300 kids. I know MCC has been declining for some years but I kinda lost track of them.
10 years ago MCC had almost 700 kids and now have 266 for 25-26 school year, yikes.
