Mobb Deep - Shook Ones Pt. 2 is probably my favorite beat of all time. I'm terrible at keeping up with anything new so I used an LLM to give me some more recent rec's based on some of the east coast 90's groups like Tribe, Nas, Wu Tang, Mobb Deep, etc.

Landed on Benny the Butcher so I've been listening to some of his stuff, particularly his album Tana Talk 3. It's got that nice grimy east coast NY feel.

You might like this from it:

I ******* love Tool though, I'd say they are my number 1. I really need to get to a show before they hang it up, I've heard rumors they're going to be at the Sphere so I might have to make a Vegas trip. Those tickets will be expensive AF though if it happens. Lateralus is a perfect album in my opinion. Parabol/Parabola is my favorite track by them. The transition between the 1st half of the song and the 2nd half rules. And Danny Carey is Drum God.

Chop Suey is one of my all time favorite SOAD tracks, but I think my favorite has to go to Sugar. I was one of the only kids in my small podunk town that had Internet and know how. Got recommended to listen to Sugar by some people I met on Battle.net lol. I had never heard anything like that in my life it was so ******* weird to me. Fell in love with it and SOAD immediately.

Yes, you have to see the Sphere, it's worth every penny. They didn't have a concert when I was there but they had a really cool film Postcards from Earth that was amaze balls. If I ever did it again, I would sit a little higher up so I won't have to strain my neck trying to take in the whole screen peripherally and above me.

The killers did a small show in Omaha (1,700 people standing room) and it was insane.
I love em and I have a hilarious story about seeing them in concert. I went online in April of 2021 to see if they were touring and it showed they'd be in Atlanta in Septemeber, so I bought tickets for me and some friends, took off work the day after and rented a hotel room near the arena so we could get plastered and not drive. On the day of the concert, my friends were coming in from out of state and got stuck in traffic, so they were going to be late. I went ahead to the arena but I didn't see any people.

The doors were locked so I walked around the building until I saw a lady inside by a window and knocked on the glass. Asked her what happened to the concert and she looked at me like I was crazy and said they didn't have a concert scheduled, lol. I was sure I had been scammed and I was pissed! Called my friends who were almost to Atlanta to tell them I had been scammed and one of them said "hold up." He said, dawg, the tickets are for next year lololol.

Don't know how I missed that but why the F would they sell them that far ahead???

Anyway, a year later we went and they were great but damn I felt foolish haha.

Indeed they do. They're top 5 on my bands I never got to see live that I'd pay a lot of money to see. In no particular order, here's my 5.

Zeppelin
AC/DC
Grateful Dead
Allmans
The Kinks
Prince
Bob Marley
REO Speedwagon
Traffic
Cracker
So, you’re 60ish?

Bob Marley

10+ years ago there would have been some country artists, I don't really listen to modern country, but I still appreciate the 90's country, Texas country and the ole honky tonk, but not enough to really include a artist in the favorites.

I absolutely love old school Buffett. Check out those playlists i posted. And stick figure are you kidding me i never get that one. 🍻

Althea is my absolute favorite song in the universe until something comes and knocks it off the top spot.

I haven't listened to them much, but I really like The Man. That's in the regular rotation. It really makes me feel like a man, but not just any man.

Mostly metal. Traveled to Austin to see Lovebites.
Just saw Testament, Destruction, and Over Kill.
End of the month it’ll be Death Angel.
And I purchased tickets, and VIP pass for Kamelot in Orlando end of August.
I’m sure there will others.

I love thrash, power, prog, and symphonic metal.

I have to move quietly after a few bannings.

I was fortunate enough to see them and Pink Floyd on Frank Howard field at Clemson Memorial football stadium.

Steel Wheels 89 and Pulse 94, respectively
Those shows were my freshman year and the night before I graduated from Clemson. Good times

Saw Mike Patton 3 weeks ago with the Avett Brothers. He still sounds great. Interesting dude for sure
Yes. Anyone who can come up with "I wanna lock Betty Crocker up in the kitchen and knock her upper during supper and clutter up her butter gutter" is someone I want to party with. One night only though.
