Last I looked they hadn't sold very many tickets. My son and I will be parked at Xtream for the next four days, and a friend with us for three of them. Disappointed that we're not seeing Kennedy or Spencer, but looking forward to some good wrestling.

Wow! It's worse than I thought. So much for Wrestletown USA. I realize the competition might only be slightly better than the SS, but come on. UWW is going to stop awarding events to Coralville.

I know it was a Thursday, and I know it was Greco, but attendance today was really bad. Other than teams sitting in the stands, I doubt there were a hundred paying customers. Less than 35 people were in the stands during awards, which is nothing new. I've seen three times as many people at a 1A High School dual meet. I doubt tomorrow will be a whole lot better, a weekday and Women. I'm ashamed to say this happened in Iowa.
USA wrestled pretty well for Greco. 6 Gold and 1 Silver in 8 weights contested. I enjoyed the day mainly. Some really good matches.
I'm looking forward to tomorrow, but then, I really like Women's Freestyle.

I went to Worlds in Serbia and they only opened 1/3 of the stands on the lower level.

its the cost of concessions that keeps me away from xtreme arena anymore - can't justify spending vacation days, whatever a ticket, and then paying stupid prices for drinks when I'm going to be there all day.

I think this healthy Real beats Bo. He has always been lightning quick but the strength with it looks unbeatable.

Buchanan gets teched. He was having all sorts of problems with the Greco feel of the Cuban.
That was a tough match. His freestyle inexperience showed. A good learning experience though. And it doesn’t really change my opinion on him and Snyder. Those aren’t positions I see Snyder threatening him with.

Maybe nobody cares, but I enjoyed it. 29 Medals; 25 Gold, 3 Silver, 1 Bronze is a good outing, no matter the competition.

I didn't see as much of Sunday's wrestling as I'd like to have, because I was coaching Nicaragua's only qualifier. He asked me Thursday because his National Coach switched to Guatemala and Nicaragua is between coaches. It was a lot of fun for a non-insider to spend a day behind the scenes at that kind of event. I got selfies with Buchanan and Hendrickson, and talked to several coaches and congratulated Sorensen on his well-deserved new job. Saw some things you never see from the stands. The wrestler I coached was Justin Rosales, 57kg. I told him I'd only hit the Challenge buzzer if he requested it because I didn't want to cost him a point if I was wrong. I would have hit it three times in four matches if it was my choice, but he didn't ask for any. He won his first two matches, by Fall and 16-6 TS, then lost in the semis to Cronin. It was weird coaching against the US. He lost his Bronze Medal match 8-6 after coming back from 0-4 to lead 6-4. He was really down, but we talked a while after. He would like to come to the US and get a Masters or a second degree. It was a great experience, though.

That Is a different Pan Am tournament.

Spooner is a prick but not wrong in this instance.
Correct, If your country doesn’t qualify at the Pan Am qualifier, then a country goes to a world qualifying tournament, like Spencer did in 2024. However, Spooner doesn’t know this.
