Many of you know who I am and where I have coached so With the continues (lets call it changes ) that are going on in our country "IF" I was a black parent I would make sure where my kids head coach stands on his political leanings. Take that info however you like

It would truly be something if folks would stand up and refuse to go play in these states. We have the power to make change yet we refuse to do so many times because people are OK with it but won't admit it.
You have some courage I'll say that. This is a great topic that needs to be discussed. Should parents/families align in belief/values with their HC? From experience some coaches look at players as commodities and really could care less about them and their lives off the football field. Then some coaches would run through walls for EVERY player and not just the talented ones.
My example is Nick Saban. I'd have my son play for him in a heartbeat. What has happened in 2026 is almost unbelievable. The recent voting rights act just reaffirms that folks are afraid to stand up to evil in high places.
Thanks not afraid to stand up and I can say without hesitation that my football players at Parkland and Rolesville knew without a doubt where I stood as a human being and how much I valued lets call them their differences and similarities . My helping my players and students was not a badge that I had to flash for affirmation. Some coaches are oK with what is going on in our country and how some "groups" are being marginalized. I for one would not allow my son to play for anyone like that. Pop Warner, Pee Wee , Middle schools High school or college that shared those views. . And the one poster said hiding in plain sight. Again be sure .

Its hard for some parents to be able to move their children from school to school based on a coach. As we have seen this past off season if a great coach leaves players will follow regardless of the new coaches belief system. If you find a coach that loves God, truly values your child, and is good at coaching football value them
Any coach worth thier salt would make sure EVERY player feels heard and taken care of
