Not flashy or even overly skilled. But he gives something we needed & haven't had.
The fact that a 7th year senior received a waiver is, in fact, a clown show. But glad it worked out for us.
They might as well save legal fees, they always lose in court.
This may be the conspiracy theorist in me but Moreno appears to be this year’s “may not return” guy that will drag out the process until the very last minute before announcing a return. I think UK purposefully does this to keep fans engaged. Which made sense when it was WCS, the twins, Diallo, etc. But not as much when it’s Oweh or Moreno. Wish I still cared enough to worry about a player’s return but I’m not losing sleep over Moreno who, let’s face it, was pretty terrible the last month of the season.
I wasn't really expecting him to get the waiver but I'm glad for him and UK.

I like the idea of sicking Kap on star centers mid-half range - Bidunga comes to mind. Run them down an extra shift, then feed Moreno coming out of an extra/random 4 min shift of Kap.
Moreno is 50/50 to return imo. If he’s a solid top 20 pick I think he’s gone

Moreno will with near certainty not be staying in the draft.
WCS played multiple years at UK. Moreno was just a freshman last year. Dude was the only player to overachieve, and he has a world of upside. I welcome him back more so than any player in the portal right now.
I’m quite happy he got it. But I do find it crazy that the NCAA is now allowing players to play in seven straight seasons.
This dude was in the same HS class as the Isiah Jackson/Brandon Boston group at UK. He’s never missed a full season since then. Yet will still be playing CBB in 2027. That’s kinda nuts.
The NCAA woke up this morning, opened their email, saw “Kentucky Waiver Request,” and IMMEDIATELY said: “Yeah okay whatever just stamp it, we’re not fighting the GM Battalion today.”
I hope he doesn’t stay in. I haven’t kept up with draft projections at all so idk much about where he’s projected to go if he stays in.
