If we get him and KEEP Moreno then there's definitley more reason for optimism than now going in . We still wouldn't have a great roster and its still coached by Pope. But yes it would be better with than without. Like goung from a Yugo to a Ford Focus - marked improvement but still kinda meh...... and you know Stevie Wonder will be driving it.

I hope we get him and Moreno returns as that team will be good enough to judge pope on, just as last years was. I have zero confidence in pope, zero. I’m on record and will say it again, next year will be a complete disaster regardless of roster.

Kind of where I am at. I watched a team last year that was supposedly composed of good defenders play defense when only they wanted. Imo coaching is composed of recruiting, X & O's, and motivation/ discipline. Pope is good at X & O adjustments at halftime, but abysmal at the other two. This team isn't anywhere close enough talent wise to compensate for the other issues.

If we get Momcilovic I'll be awfully happy.

And I'll still say just like last year, "Hey. Um, guys..... We have a system that relies almost entirely on snipers to really work and we don't have any snipers. (But let's give it a try.)"

What would getting him change?
He would be this team's Jamal Mashburn! This dude is a stud who can shoot and defend. I would honestly much rather have him than Stokes. This guy is good enough to take a good team and make them a great team. He's the kind of difference maker we've been hoping for. There's not a helluva lot of guys out there with PF size who shoots almost 50% from 3 on a high volume.

I think, as the team is comprised right now, it looks like UK could go anywhere from 16-17 regular season wins. This also assumes the return of Moreno. That may no longer be so certain!

Now, the addition of such an elite shooter with size changes that to maybe 21-22 regular season wins.

So from NIT to 5 seed? Yeah… I’ll take it!

If they win regular season games and no longer get down 10+ pts in the first half then we can have peace but having Momcilivic and then Moreno back would make a lot of people more hopeful but we thought we were going to be special in the good way this past season and look how it turned out. Lose some early games and the melt down will be monumental

He takes you from what would be a 20 to 23 win team to a team that wins at least 24 games and makes a minimum of the second weekend.

Would obviously be a huge get for Pope. Might save his career at Kentucky.

Which would be awful for this program. Think 10-Loss Tubby era 2.0, only now UConn and Duke are on our heels, and likely pass us, title wise, and Kansas far surpasses us in All Time wins.
