If Duke's or Kansas' arenas could hold more fans, their averages would be boosted. A lot of passionate fan bases could get close to our number.
No. MT was only correctly pointing out that "it helps." Meaning that if Rupp could only hold 12,000 it would be impossible to have the highest average home game attendance. Because Syracuse's Carrier Dome holds more only means that they could have surpassed UK if they had enough fan interest. Other teams, on the other hand, could not regardless of fan enthusiasm for going to home games.
I think you might be right about Kansas but I doubt very seriously if Duke could,, North Carolina has 4 major Div1 teams in the state which I'm sure splits up the fan bases along with Duke being a small private school ,which many of their graduates leave the area. The only Duke fans in N Carolina are their graduates for the most part.

But it wouldn't be that same small gym advantage any more, like Duke and Kansas have. Between the refs and the home court advantage, they are hard to beat at home.

There’s a difference between being sold out and attendance. There are a lot of seats and season tickets people don’t show up for. Barney’s always been great at fudge and the numbers that’s one of his true callings in life. He really is a corrupt P O S. He’s been doing this kind of stuff. He does it for football too. There will be nobody in the stands and they’ll announce 60,000 in attendance.
