Glad to see Kentucky signing guys who bring positive attention to themselves as more than basketball players. Always easy to root for an impressive guy like this when there are so many who embarrass a program with their behavior.

And he sounds like a guy you want in the locker room.

All we can hope for. I think this team is either really good or really bad. No In between. You just cant ever tell how a team will click.

We all know you don't have to have number one picks. You don't have to have a Tyran Stokes. It's fun to have them but you don't have to. This team can be special if they play for each other.

Pope is a little strange, doesn’t fit the typical basketball coach vibe, which hurts him. But he’s an okay guy from what we can see, although there are boosters who have some various opinions of him.

As far as a basketball coach, he’s low-mid. And that’s all I care about. Kentucky cannot have a low-mid coach, so that will have to change.

I’ve heard from someone that would know that he’s nice enough but has an arrogance to him that is off putting. He expects the red carpet but hasn’t earned it. Not very appreciative of things like they thought he would be.

I think Mark has an odd personality and his ego went a bit off the rails when he was given the job.

Then you got the fans that read a headline “I love you BBN” and think it’s all real. I have no doubts he’s an okay guy, no doubt he’s a nice man but he’s not what many around here think. But you can’t explain it to them so I quit trying.

He's a MoBro. Anyone who has known Mormons, has known guys like that. Very nice and polite but very guarded. They don't let anyone inside their inner circle. And it can make them seem standoffish. I think that's what's happening with the boosters.

Not to mention the trait of constant sugarcoating. Everything will be given the most positive interpretation possible, to the point that you can't trust them.

He's not the worst dude ever but he is, like all coaches, a used car salesman at heart. Just a much different kind of salesman than the last guy in charge here.

It’s no surprise he won this award, him and Jackie were on the same AAU baseball team back when they were kids. Franck decided to play Peach Ball and Jackie stayed with America’s pastime.

This is stupid and has no place here. Franck was barely in high school when Jackie died.
