It made no sense to me either. I love spending time at the Bosh, but no need to show us another arm, be done with it!
It’s crazy how this team will feel like it’s struggling at the plate early part of a game and then end up run ruling. Huge to have 8 straight ACC series.
I was literally thinking about starting a “Howe” thread right before the at bat. Guess just thinking about call out threads works these days…

I can't recall ever seeing 4 DPs in the first 2 innings of a game. Something else you rarely see is a team turning 2 after the ball is bobbled, but that's what happened on our 2nd DP.
Lynch wasn't exactly sharp, and was fortunate to get the DPs in the first 2 innings. He didn't have his usual swing and miss stuff, and the low strikeout total (3) shows that. Only 1 of those 3 Ks was swinging. However, good pitchers manage to win, even if they aren't throwing their best.

Took care of business vs a bad ACC team. No need to make Pitt out to be anything other than that the way many did with Clemson. The ACC is full of a lot of bad teams.
Clemson is in fact a pretty good team. They are a borderline regional team by RPI. Winning a series against them on the road is a quality weekend.

We're so spoiled to how good our pitchers are that it seems like something is way off when they give up a hit or walk, and get into a jam. But then they get a strike out or a soft grounder into a DP. Even their B-game is still really good and it's why Forbes has so much confidence in this staff.

A sweep tomorrow is a need instead of a want IMO. We can’t afford to lose games to teams at the bottom of the conference.

Surprising outing got him imo. This was earlier season lynch imo. The last few outings it’s seemed like his velo was up and his movement was great. Lots more swing and misses and K’s. Today seemed like a regression again. Saying that with the understanding hat lunch’s b game is still like most’s a game.
Forbes explained that Folger pitches better as a starter than coming in relief, where Rose is more able to come off the bench and perform well. (Around 10 minutes into game 1 postgame interview.)

Bad defines the job your namesake did as the UNC coach. At 44 and 35 in the RPI, only someone with an agenda would refer to Pitt and Clemson as bad teams.
My head canon is that this is actually John Bunting and he's still bitter all these years later lol
