Dominant. Glauber strikes out the side in the ninth, Carolina takes game one 4-1.
Wow. Caden is freaking amazing. He is so much fun to watch.
Glauber has next-level stuff. He made Pitt's batters look stupid.
Important win. Looking forward to Lynch extending into the late innings tomorrow to take the series.
He got 11 outs on 39 pitches and struck out 5
They were pretty much stress free pitches. I seem to remember Forbes saying around 40 finished his weekend. I’d be surprised if he couldn’t throw about 25-30 Sunday.
On another note, I can’t imagine how much Walker wants to get back out there tomorrow.
It can’t be overstated what Glauber just did. He came in in a perilous spot when the game could have gone in the wrong direction. Instead he essentially removed all suspense and got 11 outs in 39 pitches. So now we have him available again this weekend.

A Friday win is a win is a win… you take it any way you can get it. And still having both duff and globe available for the next one is pretty big.
instead of a but… I’ll go with and… AND this offense continues to not pull their weight. Pitt starter goes a season long outing against us. On the road. At the bosh. They just have to do better. Lefty’s are pure kryptonite against this lineup… I’m so worried about exiting later this year due to running into a team or two with a couple decent lefties and an offense that can score 3-4 runs.
Pitt has used 4 different guys for Saturday starts the last 5 series. None have made it past the second inning. If we allow someone to go 4-5+, we might need to sell the trajekt machine and look for a new hitting coach!

The look on the batter's faces as they walked back to the dugout after he had just put them through the spin cycle said it all. They knew they were no match for that kid.

Got testy in sec 107 late in the game, when security escorted a fan out. He had been VERY vocal much of the game challenging the ump calls. I wonder if someone complained, because although I didn't hear it, someone said there was a lot of profanity.
I’m all for a good yelling at an ump and have done my share but those that sit on the sides doing it always makes me laugh.C’mon Tommy. When I was coaching, I never missed a call from the dugout.

Honestly on TV it wasn’t that bad imo. He had a very tight zone and seemed to be consistent with it for the most part. Any ump is gonna miss a couple but it was just more tight than usual (but looked correct).I’m all for a good yelling at an ump and have done my share but those that sit on the sides doing it always makes me laugh.
