I am pretty dubious of Tenn at #10, They had to build a team 100% in the portal (and one from HS). They jave maybe 2 women I would have been excited to land as a UNC fan. I think they will be significantly worse than last year.

UNC is a little similar in that we lost as much as we gained. But we started from a much better position with proven depth.

One at 6'1". Can she help Toomey on boards and inside points. Can Toomey step up 2 more notches and become a very good somewhat dominant player. As predicted during his recruiting. With Harpring the team seems in great shape as long as somebody and the post . Better to be better there. Thomas in shape and able to actually play? That would be a plus. Guessing nobody has a lead on Thomas?

Yes, I think Akot will be able to do that. If you go back and watch her film nicheel, you will see that she plays bigger than 6'1" inside. Her wingspan is off the charts for her height. She held Crooks in check each time she played against her in the Big 12. She outscored Crooks as well. Akot is a perfect replacement for NH. We do not need to worry about the 4 spot or the 1, 2, and 3 spots. Our biggest concern will be at the 5 spot; however, I expect even more from Toomey this upcoming season. Last year was the first time that Toomey was a 100% going into the season. You must remember Toomey did not play her senior year in high school because she got injured. She did not play her freshman year because she got hurt before the season started. Her sophomore was when she was trying to get back into the flow, etc. With that in mind, that is 3 years of trying to get back to the level that she was her junior year. Last year was the year she got her mojo back and confidence back. We all saw it. That is tremendous for heading into this upcoming season. If we can bet BT back healthy wise, confidence wise and she can make that jump then I think we should be good to go.

You are 100% correct JRiv. Toomey also will be in her second full season as a true low post player.

She is 6'5. She has an outside shot and some nice post moves plus she can block shots.

I think Ciera will take a solid step forward this season. She needs to get stronger in her lower body
and in her hands and I think she will get it done and have a great season as a true low post 5.
