The only rare moment of bipartisan consensus I have ever witnessed was the agreement that the University of South Carolina's Board of Trustees requires a complete overhaul. Naturally, that consensus failed to translate into actual change.

I know you are joking but I gotta say that my wife is a gem. When she is moody I leave her alone and she does the same for me. She rarely badgers me and we've had 1 fight in 11 years. When she does badger me it is mostly deserved.
That's nice. Is she trans? I think two posters here would really like to know. 🙂

Then tell me a controversy.

Just off the top of my head, Benghazi, fast and furious, the IRS scandal.

He bombed Libya for 8 months for regime change over to the Muslim brotherhood, but some people only think thats a scandal when other presidents do it.

Edit: There was that other one where they debanked people who sold guns. I forget the name. I think it was choke point.

Don't forget selling out the public to the healthcare and insurance industries. Presidents can look great when the entire media is running cover for them.

Don't really agree those are all "scandals" vs normal governing. But at any rate, sure seems light in regard to what we are dealing with now.

Not being a US citizen, possibly having a made up life story and making backroom deals with Putin are a few. Again, it is easy to have a scandal free administration when the media is covering for you for your entire tenure.

Obama admin seemed nice because conservatives weren't running around rioting, looting and telling lies all over media like a bunch of crazy people. Obama was able to do just as much damage behind the veil of liberal run media. Both sides are supported and financed by different Giant Corps. It doesn't matter if the president or admin is liberal or conservative because we are all getting screwed by Big Corp. Period.

We should go back to the Articles of Confederation so the individual states can have the power to govern themselves.

Not surprised in the least that you dont think scandals for your party are really scandals. And the opposing side would call current "scandals" light in this comparison, or call it normal governing too.

But if even one qualifies, just one, we can dispense with the notion that the tan suit was the largest scandal? Right?

Sounds libertarian to me. Are we mature, intelligent, and responsible enough to handle it?

I agree. I've said since 2016, I think Trump would be a horrible neighbor or someone you had to spend time with but I agree with most of his policies and visions. I don't think he is any sort of messiah or someone to be idolized, but I do think he wants what is best for the US.
I personally think that primarily, Trump wants what's best for Trump. And I do think that most of his support does not come from the MAGA/messiah crowd, but from people like yourself who do not worship him, but feel he is the best, most visible person to lead our country at this time.
