Contracts are made to be broken. If a coach wants to leave, he will leave. But seems like he likes it at Iowa.
Wouldn’t want McCollum. He had a few wins in tourney now everyone crazy over him. Shaka smart did too.
He has a long track record of winning, albeit at a lower level. Lots of people want Schertz, but to me McCollum is just a better version of him (profile-wise). However Schertz appears to be the more attainable of the two...
McCollum is an Iowa native and this is essentially his dream job.

You wouldnt want a coach that won 6 D2 titles or whatever the amount was? Ok then.
Right? This place. Guy has won wherever he's been. Check Hurley - people asked what he did before UConn - he rebuilt a highschool, then a low D1, then a mid major, almost all overnight. That is grinding. That's the kind of coach you want.
I have to admit that I'm becoming very concerned about who our next coach will be, A lot of the top options seem very unlikely at this point.
I'm more concerned with the administration being able to identify a top option candidate.
Easy guy to dislike when he's not your coach. Easy guy to like when he's your coach. Anyway here with half a brain would take him.
That’s the way I am with Jai Lucus . I want to see a little more before I’m all in on him .
Mark Pope is the Ky coach for the next few years. His buyout combined with the Stoops deal plus the buyout for a new coach would put the total over $50million.
