shoWe should have tons of connections from the Canarias days. Get Pat Auda on the phone
I was not trying to be a comedian. 6 weeks into the GMs tenure and your idea to get Pat Auda on the call is better than anything we’ve seen to date.Ohh Pat Cooper over here
Impossible. He posts on Twitter and has connections! He knows all 2000 players in the portal and knows exactly who will play here and play extremely above expectations.I was not trying to be a comedian. 6 weeks into the GMs tenure and your idea to get Pat Auda on the call is better than anything we’ve seen to date.
sad state we are in
We did that and Whitehead brought us Ardogan, LOL.Here is an idea. We have lots of former SHU players playing all over the world. Why not reach out to them and ask them to scout players for us that they think can bring something to the table? Even offer them a stipend if they bring us a solid lead? We must have at least a dozen of more former players in pro leagues around the world. A great resource that can be used!
Maybe the GM is just the strong, silent type. Like Gary Cooper.I was not trying to be a comedian. 6 weeks into the GMs tenure and your idea to get Pat Auda on the call is better than anything we’ve seen to date.
sad state we are in
Good point there might be some swings and misses but if you keep doing what you always do you will get what you always got.We did that and Whitehead brought us Ardogan, LOL.
Fishjam is there an update to this list?Below are the Team Transfer Class Rankings from EvanMiya.com and the individual ratings of all incoming Big East Transfers. This only shows college transfers, no international players or incoming freshmen so St.John's is not ranked high. Really puts in perspective how poorly we are doing.
Last year, Seton Hall was felt to be in a similar budget situation with Xavier, DePaul and Butler at the bottom of the conference.
- 8 Big East Teams have a Top 100 transfer, our best is #220
- 6 teams have multiple Top 100 transfers, our 2nd transfer is #486
- 5 BE teams are in the Top 11 Classes in the country, we are last in BE at #85 and #360 in Overall Transfer Activity.
Now, Xavier has the #7 class in the Country,
DePaul is 38th with 2 top 100 players,
Butler and Georgetown are ranked only slightly better than us.

He would never have averaged that many minutes per game."... lucked into Hines..." But how much different would our record have been without him. For whatever reason, he was not a major contributor. (A better question might be what would our record have been if he had played 30-32 minutes a game?)
FYI, Players are allowed 5 fouls. Scoring, rebounding and defense are slightly more important than he “might foul out.”He would never have averaged that many minutes per game.
Forget whatever real or perceived conditioning issues Hines may have had. He averaged 2.4 fouls per game in 18 minutes per.
He didn't foul out of any games but picked up four fouls in fewer than 20 minutes three times. He also had three appearances where he committed three fouls in fewer than 20 minutes.
I'm too stupid to do all that analysis but here's the current BE team portal rankings per Evan Miya:Fishjam is there an update to this list?

You would have more of a case if Hines' numbers were demonstrably better than Payne's.FYI, Players are allowed 5 fouls. Scoring, rebounding and defense are slightly more important than he “might foul out.”
Ohh you’re on a run!Maybe the GM is just the strong, silent type. Like Gary Cooper.
