He'll probably be pitching for the mets in a month.Fortunately, Gil will be in the bullpen in a month.

Still obvious where the weaknesses are and I think Cashman will use the Martian and Gil as bait to fix those...3B and bullpen.7-2 roadtrip and 8-2 over the last 10 and this thread only attracts negative attention.
1. Only the playoffs matter.7-2 roadtrip and 8-2 over the last 10 and this thread only attracts negative attention.
You must know my family then. I'm gonna DM you and see if we know each other....lolSome of us went to high school with Joey Theismann and Drew Pearson.
Not sure Caballero qualifies. as a true leadoff hitter. He has a .310 OBP. TBH not sure there are too many true leadoff hitters in the mold of Ricky Henderson or Tim Raines anymore.Boone finally replaces Grisham, hitting .155, with Goldschmidt...hitting .156!
No legit leadoff guys on the team?
How about Caballero?
1. I disagree. I want my team to win every game they play. Every game matters to this fan. I so enjoy winning.1. Only the playoffs matter.
2. Fire Cashman.
Sure, I like seeing the Yanks win whenever I watch them. However, even if they win 110 games in the regular season and run away with the division, if they tank in the divisional round or ALCS the season will be another failure and Cashman will be to blame once again.1. Thus, April 2026 was very good for me. And May is starting to look good as well.
2. You can't really think at this point that there's any chance of that happening. And yet you keep saying it.
X Ray negative, might miss a few days though.Very enjoyable win today. I like this winning stuff.
Just a little concerned about Rice's injured hand though.
2nd best record in the MLB.Why would anyone be negative when 5 of the 9 batters are sub .200?
The guy had passion and love doing baseball games!
I started out with Rizzuto, Messer, White but the bulk of my Yankees fanhood was spent with Sterling.I'm 47 and John Sterling was the only baseball soundtrack that I knew until a couple of years ago. It's definitely a sad day for Yankees fans, and baseball fans for that matter. He was 87 years, called over 5,000 consecutive games, 5 World Series titles, 2 (maybe 3, if he did the Oakland game a few years ago) perfect games, and got to live out his dream. May he RIP.
Really enjoyed Sterling during the late 90s/early 2000s run, but he definitely got hokey in his later years. Regardless, he was always better than Kay!Listening to Sterling on the radio was more pleasurable than Kay on TV. Even when he started slipping a bit and calling home runs that weren't actually home runs he had that Rizzuto factor where you just loved him and enjoyed the moment. The nicknames were out of control but you just couldn't wait to see what everyone's would be on that first home run call.
RIP to the voice of the Yankees.
What's truly insane is that the Athletics are one of those three teams. There are only 3 teams in the American League with an above .500 record. That is quite insane.
Yes, but as a fan, it was YOUR hokey and no one else’s. I’m not a Yankee fan but I’m going to miss him. I always liked listening to his pre-game MLB round-up when I was driving home from work. I know it was mainly wire or canned stuff but he delivered it beautifully and you were caught up after hearing it.Really enjoyed Sterling during the late 90s/early 2000s run, but he definitely got hokey in his later years. It's similar to the feelings that many had for listening to Bruce Johnson do Rutgers basketball games. To me, he's the all time GOAT of RU hoops on the radio.Yes, but as a fan, it was YOUR hokey and no one else’s. I’m not a Yankee fan but I’m going to miss him. Yup! I was thinking of Bruce when I posted that. “Bending, bending, bending, and in!”It's similar to the feelings that many had for listening to Bruce Johnson do Rutgers basketball games. To me, he's the all time GOAT of RU hoops on the radio.

You just knew it wasn't gonna be "just a few days".X Ray negative, might miss a few days though.
