He's a good fit for what we like a wing to do on offense. We've got point guards to set him up and an offense where guys like him can find plenty of shots. Having shots wasn't the problem. Having consistent three point threats was a huge issue last season.

Pope has been stubborn about hiring a GM and he isn't proven with freshmen and last year's recruiting has hurt us this year. I think this year we will get another wing and big guy. if he does bad he'll be gone. I'm not gonna argue with people who don't put things in perspective or are fans of multiple teams.

When you are the all time winningest program in college basketball and a blue blood, there is no excuse for the 14 losses and losing as many games as Mark Pope did by double digits. People defend Cal because he won a national championship and had many Final 4’s and Elite 8’s while he was the captain of this ship. Cal brought in elite recruits unlike the whiffmister.
People defend Cal because Kentucky was relevant and not a national laughing stock like what the program has become. Think about that smart guy, national pundits and the media laugh more at the program now more than they did when losing to St. Peters and Oakland. Elite players want to play for Cal because he gets them to the NBA and makes them millions of dollars.
This fanbase bashes Mark Pope because he has all the resources and had the highest paid roster last year and needed a prayer to get to the Round of 32 and then got smashed.

My gut is that he's checking in with UK, but will shop. This guy wants to get into the draft with guaranteed money next year - he's not going to want to walk into a S show (although he may have already proven plenty).
