It’s so stupid. Teams that can’t even finish near the top half of their conference have no business being invited to the tournament to determine the national champion. There were already too many of those mediocre teams getting in, and now it’s gonna get far worse.
The NCAA seems determined to make regular seasons irrelevant. In football a bowl bid no longer means squat …all you have to do now is not completely suck. And now they want to make a tourney bid in basketball similarly meaningless.

Just beyond stupid having brackets ran all year long during the season. Even more stupid to put brackets out 5-6 months before the season even starts. Might as well do bracket projections for the next 10 years.
It's only 8 extra teams, not that big a difference if you ask me. I like it at 64 and I was like whatever at 68 but 8 teams added doesn't do much but the first four out and next four out now have a play in tournament instead. 8 teams out of 360 isn't many.
A person I work with who is a UK fan just told me that if Pope makes the first 8 this year he deserves a 4th Year.
