He jumps like me. Question is can he play D and rebound.
I’m really not going to like all these foreigners in college basketball. Going to be impossible to pronounce their names. For me at least.
Clearly skilled and talented, but also clearly a big man who plays below the rim, and he doesn't appear to be overwhelmingly tall to obviously overcome his lack of elevation. I'd be worried how effective he can be against the size and athleticism of the SEC and other elite college basketball teams.
Agreed... im not opposed to this but I would roll with Potter from that sample sized video.
Considering that MM doesn’t rebound with two hands or box out or cant Shoot the 3 ball nor cant he defend the pick and roll, any Center that would these things fairly decent would be the starter not a back up at UK.
I know Pope thinks that MM is the best center in college next year but we all seen accurate is his perception of reality.
If he would make that pitch, come to Uk and you will more than fair chance to fight for the starting position at C and not to sell it as a back up , he would have by now 2 C signed up.
The problem is these guys can also see film of MM and hearing the pitch of back up role from MP, they look at him and say, are you crazy ? I am better than your potential sophomore starter C. Why would I want to come and play for you if you AS A COACH cannot see that or at least lie to me nicely about it.

Yeah, he would be a major pass from me…he appears to have modest offensive skills (but even those may not be great against longer, athletic defenders), but he would be a complete and total liability on defense.
If I am building a roster, I want the least amount of players possible at ANY position much less my front court playing below the rim. There are exceptions, but they would be very few.

Which one of the coaches work with the big men & why the **** do they not teach the jump hook? That's one of the easiest shots to get off & every big man should have it in their arsenal.
