Brookhaven got hit. Hearing some fatalities. Think I-55 is currently closed.

Monticello was real close to getting nailed. Lifted just in time before heading into denser population. There was a significant debris ball for quite a few miles. Hopefully mostly trees but I'm sure there were some lives changed tonight. Hoping those that need help can get it

Also hearing from a buddy there was a trailer park completely destroyed along 51 highway in Bogue Chitto. Do not know for sure, but some people might not have made it.

Seeing some of the daylight pictures this morning, destruction was quite extensive, especially in places like Bogue Chitto and Purvis. Apparently it was not the same storm to hit both towns. It's amazing that there were no fatalities reported, at least not yet.

There were fatalities in a trailer park in Bogue Chitto. Maybe not reported yet by any major news outlet I just happen to know the guy personally that owns the place.

Yes, I saw your post after I did mine. Fox Weather is still saying none reported. Seeing video of the trailer park, the place was pretty much leveled.

Apparently there are two towns in Mississippi named Bogue Chitto. When I entered the name in Safari to see exactly where it's located, the one that popped up is NW of Meridian near Philadelphia.

Not trying to argue at all. One can look at that trailer park and know some people lost their lives there. I think the pictures below, and the video that you are seeing make that pretty clear.

Agree. It looks impossible that anybody could have been in those trailers and lived.

Are there any updates from local news/EMAs?

I have heard a number from the guy that owns the place because we are both in the rental business in that area. But I really do not want to say given I can not actually confirm it. But it is more than one.

I saw Reed Timmer say there were fatalities from that trailer park but he didn’t give a number.

Just saw the tornado ratings:

Bogue Chitto EF-3
Bude EF-3
Both about 36 miles long.
Another (presumably Purvis) EF-1.
And there was also an EF-0 somewhere in SW Mississippi.
