Gross, now I got to hate Emmett, **** the Chiefs
You're confusing me with Chiefs fansIs this because you’re a simpleton? It’s the only conclusion I can come up with.
Yes, but I think Pacheco was faster.Chiefs probably like Emmett for the same reason they liked Pacheco - he was very productive in college despite playing in a mediocre offense behind a crappy offensive line.
Yeah, a weird fit. He isn't going to fill the role of an every down back if walker gets hurt. He is more of a 3rd down back who could be a good drop down option to get a first down, but he doesn't block very well. Like most of our roster, he is really a misfit, too small, not fast enough. He makes big 10 defenders miss and the chiefs will have to set up situations for him to make people miss.Walker did have a big year last year. But he has been injured. EJ can fill the role to help keep walkers touches down a bit.
Great fit. Nobody is claiming he will be and every down back. He won’t house it. But he has the ability to make the first man miss. And the chiefs offense revolves around getting play makers in space. He can be a weapon in the screen game which is vital to the Chiefs offense. You are cynical about anything and everything. Maybe just wish EJ luck on his opportunity, It’s ok to be happy for a former player. SheeshYeah, a weird fit. He isn't going to fill the role of an every down back if walker gets hurt. He's another Kenneth Gainwell. Perfect compliment to Kenneth Walker. He will still make people miss and find the holes in the NFL. His game translates.Perfect back for what the Chiefs like to do. I was shocked to see, when I googled the Chiefs depth chart they already have him listed there. LMAO that was quick! He will be 2nd before training camp ends and be a good third down back, catch some balls and will be ready in case Walker III gets injured. Perfect fit IMHO.
I don’t believe his style of running will lead to a long successful career. I’ll be somewhat surprised if he ends up as more than an emergency third back. He's another Kenneth Gainwell. That might be why he was picked later. But ultimately most RBs have short careers. I bet half the RBs in the league don't make it to their second contract.I don’t believe his style of running will lead to a long successful career. His best bet is probably actually to not play much. Flash in some mop up duty or situational uses and not take too many hits. Stick around and get valued as a veteran who doesn’t screw up.That might be why he was picked later. But ultimately most RBs have short careers. Faster at running into the back of his guard. He was a try hard, but he had no instincts.Yes, but I think Pacheco was faster.
They won a SB or two with Pacheco. I thought he was a really good back.Faster at running into the back of his guard. He was a try hard, but he had no instincts.
He’s gotten the most out of his talent. He wasn’t bad for them, but he didn’t break any runs either. He’s a JAG.They won a SB or two with Pacheco. I thought he was a really good back.
Yeah, pretty crazy, but save miles on the body and (hopefully) win with the second contract. So, could have made 1.5 mill this year (or more) staying in college, but chose 485k + incentives.
He’s likely going to be a role player taking a tenth of the hits this year he would if he had stayed at NU. Granted it will be a much longer season.Yeah, pretty crazy, but save miles on the body and (hopefully) win with the second contract.
He shouldn’t have stayed at NU, he should have gone to a good team with a solid O line, made a ton of money, get great stats, and entered the draft next year. He’s likely going to be a role player taking a tenth of the hits this year he would if he had stayed at NU. Emmett has a ceiling and it was reached. He is not a power runner nor a Buner . He is what a is a4-5 round draft pick he would have been the same next year playing for Nebraska or Ohio state .He shouldn’t have stayed at NU, he should have gone to a good team with a solid O line, made a ton of money, get great stats, and entered the draft next year.
Obviously would have liked to go higher, but he did very good. Great system for his style, chance to contribute early, 6 hours from Minneapolis. He gets $1 million as a salary for 2026, plus the signing bonus. Bet on himself and it worked out so far.So, could have made 1.5 mill this year (or more) staying in college, but chose 485k + incentives.
He already had great stats. It doesn’t matter who he plays for. He is who he is. That wasn’t gonna change. He’s in a good place to start off his careerHe shouldn’t have stayed at NU, he should have gone to a good team with a solid O line, made a ton of money, get great stats, and entered the draft next year.
Yep!He already had great stats. It doesn’t matter who he plays for. He is who he is. That wasn’t gonna change. He’s in a good place to start off his career
Doesn’t need to be a feature back to have a good career and making some dough. Perfect spot. He doesn’t have the pressure to be RB 1I doubt he would have gotten many carries at OSU. I hope he has a great NFL career but I doubt he’ll ever be a feature back.
Exactly. RB's have a shelf life. Why take more hits in college when you can start your NFL career. Get a big 2nd contract. Out of the NFL at 30 and retire if he takes care of his money.Yeah, pretty crazy, but save miles on the body and (hopefully) win with the second contract.
Or be set up for life by staying in college 1 more year.Yep!
Get 50+ carries this year...catch 20+ passes. Maybe score 3-4 times.
Next season, double that production.
Then at the end of year 3 start working on a new contract that sets him up for life. Retire at the age 33 or so.
