6’8 bruiser center to go along with a 6’7 bruiser PF (Mo D), we figured he wasn’t coming here to be a 23 year old(will turn 24 in November) backup. Insane that Pope flew to Israel to watch him put up 0 points, but that’s about par for the course these days.

So every coach that visits a player is required to sign them? How dumb do you have to be. Who cares if he flew to Israel. You act like travel arrangements are the end of the world. Maybe after watching him score a big goose egg, and talking to the player and his agent in person, Pope decided that this wasn’t the right guy.

I don't care that we missed on this guy, I just don't understand why Pope put any time or effort into him in the first place. Surely he could find a similar or better player that didn't involve flying to Israel for a dude who had one foot through the doorway with another school.
