If I’m listening live, I cut the stream. If it’s on podcast, I skip over it. I *HATE* baseball.

His new hobby. The arrogance of MJ never ceases to amaze. Many people don't like the Reds or even baseball but he still insists on forcing it into his UK sports show regardless.

I listen everyday, not the biggest fan but it’s entertaining and I enjoy it. His obsession with the Reds is beyond annoying. Plus he’s not even a fan, he gives up on them every other show. Freaking annoying.
What do you mean he’s not a fan? He spends thousands on season tickets right behind home plate. 😂

But gives up in May? Maybe it’s an act but it’s a tired one. I’d be pissed if I was a Cincy fan. Speaking of baseball, I would love to catch a Reds game. Been decades. I even got a jersey. lol.

And just like that, it's now arrogant to like a sports team and to talk about that sports team occasionally on your own sports show.

I'll assume you're being sarcastic but if you're not, tell us what's it like to be this jealous over a local radio host's success.

Yeah. Might be the wrong team in that case. Sounds more like the Dodgers and I can legit say ive always been a fan cause I played on the dodgers back in little league.

I saw them once a long, long time ago. It was a double header; I don't think they even have them anymore. I saw Johnny Bench tie a record with home runs in 4 consecutive bats, the last 3 plate appearances of the first game and first one in the second game.

A lot of people in EKY became Braves fans because we could get their games on TV but not the Reds so much.

Well, that's your opinion OP. I love the Reds, and I love baseball. Not every topic is going to appeal to you. I, for example, couldn't care less about the NBA. It's an atrocious product. I listen to KSR, among many sports shows, on podcast. That way when they start talking about crap I don't like, such as the NBA, reality TV, politics, etc; I can just fast forward and hear the parts that interest me.

I love the reds also. Next week will be my third trip to Cincy since the season started. Just love the town, the bars next to GABP, etc.

Not sure what you are talking about? I don’t care what they talk about. I just think his constant pumping up and than shitting on the reds is lame.

And I’m not even a reds fan.

I thank you for tips on listening to a podcast, I’ll pass that on to my mother. I know how to listen to media just fine without help.

I think maybe you misread my OP?

I think so. I remember the Braves mostly, but TBS for the Braves and WGN for the Cubs were both easier to watch.
What was the little lizard or something for the Chicago games? Little green thing I think? Like the station mascot or whatevr.

There were only Reds fans in E.KY until TBS and WGN stations became part of everybody's cable programing in the 80s. As a kid back then you could occasionally see a Reds game on one of the 3 Networks (usually on a Saturday, I think), but you would come home from school almost everyday and there was always a Cubs or Braves game on.

Matt jones is the biggest jinx known to man not to mention a fan grifter. He’s a parasite as a “fan”.

Or maybe your OP just comes off like you're a whiny bîtch looking to piss and moan. That could also be the case. Hope this helps.

The Reds still can’t hit consistently.

I last went to a major league doubleheader was in the mid sixties when I visited a relative in Cleveland in September. On a Saturday evening the Browns were playing an exhibitiion game and got to see Jim Brown. A beautiful warm evening. The next day sun was shining and went to old Municipal Stadium for the doubleheader. The wind had changed directions and was coming across the lake. About froze my a$$ off. Great memory

Lol. I bet it was a great memory. Frost burn be damned. That’s awesome. Thanks for the story.
