“North Carolina: “I love them so, so much. Coach Courtney Banghart is super nice. They’ve also been really in my corner ever since I was in ninth grade and super close to my family. They’ve actually talked to my dad. Not a lot of colleges talk to my dad, because he just works so much, but they finally got him on the phone and my parents actually want me to go there, but it’s definitely totally up to me. I did receive a phone call on the first day that the portal opened up, so I do feel like that speaks volume as to what I could do for their program and how they would value me. I really like that school as well. They’re very academically focused, campus is beautiful. I love the colors. They’re just dope.”
I’ve read more recruit interviews than I’d care to admit. Most say almost nothing of value. A few are more effusive in their praise (Caleb Wilson and his dad). I’ve never seen a recruit outright admit where their parents want them to go
