Sports obituary: The wisdom of Solomon

Arnold was definitely ahead of the times when he started NCPreps.com. As of June 1, I will have been a member for 25 years. I talked with him on numerous occasions about Hickory football and some other local teams and was happy to host him in 1996 at a home game. He and the late David Elder were great friends and we had a wonderful evening that night.

Always looked forward to getting the newsletter. Was very forward thinking and ahead of the times.
