Spoil alert- Iowa comes in at 21

I think Penn St will get some fool's gold this season with a relatively easy schedule. USC, Michigan, Washington are their toughest games. After that it's Wisconsin, Minnesota, NW, Purdue Rutgers Maryland. They'll win 8-9 just by showing up.

Next year when Rocco is gone they'll take a step back.

Klatt has always been respectful towards Iowa and Kirk, #21 sounds about right until we see what this team looks like when they actually play someone.

As for Ped State, people are riding way too high with them. Sure, they have a weenie hut junior schedule next year. They're very likely to go bowling, possibly be in the conversation for a playoff birth, but they'll get trounced by teams like Ohio State or Oregon if they get a chance to play.

And if Penn St can beat those three teams, which is not out of the question, since USC has a coach that losses big games, Mich has the new coach and system, and Wash was up and down last year so I expect the same

Sounds right to me. When Kirk was on the show On Iowa Live (KCRG) this last week, I think Dochterman noted to Kirk someone had them preseason #15, and Kirk laughed and said was that for last season or this season and he didn't understand how people make their preseason picks when Iowa was missing some key returners in spots.

Agree - I am just curious how ISU will be this year… shall be interesting- I hope Iowa drops 60 points on them and they boo the team out of Kinnick back to stinky point (Lames, IA)

Anything less than a complete beat down will be unacceptable. None of this "get up by 10 and go armadillo" crap. Destroy them.
Kirk will be showing the clown coach's "F the Hawks" comment the week of the game.

Plus ISU lost their best players. They have a patched together team that is going to take some beatings this fall. One will be in Kinnick Stadium.

Not sure what that says about us because I watched Oregon push us around all day with their Oline and Dline last year in Kinnick.
What????????????????????????? Are you kidding me? We lost because of a ****** punt snap and we fumbled inside their 10 yard line. Push us around my ***. And their payroll was probably 3 times as much as Iowa's. Indiana knocked the living snot out of them twice.

They seemed plenty physical in every game minus Indiana.
It's amusing how people continue to define a team by a simplistic stereotype that's either outdated or completely wrong. It was comical last fall how many were saying a cold rainy game would benefit Iowa as if 1. Oregon never plays in cold rainy weather and 2. They were some kind of delicate group of sprinters who couldn't block and tackle despite being in the Top 15 in defense and rushing at the time.
We saw that same thing with cracks about Iowa's offense. They continue no matter the current reality

Well they outrushed us 261-100 so yeah I’d say we got pushed around in the trenches 😂
