Kirk stated on tv in the last week he expects QB battle to go down to last week of fall camp if not into first weeks of season.

I believe Leistikow knows more about spring ball than most, probably all, posters in this thread. KF didn't release a depth chart so I appreciate Chad's best (early) guesses.

This time of year we are starved for football content.

He listed Hawthorne and Kennedy as the starters snd Hubert and Gaffney as the reserves. Did you read the article?
My bad. I should have said next to Hawthorne or Hubert, not just Hubert.

Regardless, what makes it laughable for Kennedy to be a starter when the season begins? The depth chart is fluid right now, and this is who CL predicts will be where in four months time. I'm old enough to remember a spring QB3 emerging as the starter on opening day. CL must think Kennedy is on the rise and will overtake Hubert. We'll find out if he's Nostradamus in September.

Our DTackle weights are a concern to me as we dont have a Jaleel, Black, or other 300 pounder. But these guys have 6 months to add 10-15 pounds and I hope they can to get to 285 or 290.
Size matters in the trenches, but we've also had some smaller guys excel. They need to have a big motor to succeed.

Don’t see Myslinski listed on the roster at Hawkeyesports.com . He was there last time I looked a couple weeks ago, but not anymore.

Hudson Parliament remaines a LARGE man.
I would almost expect him to be a starting tackle in 2027. I know that that is a long ways away, but just going on what I hear and what we are losing on the O-line for next year. We have, what, one returning starter (Allgeyer) for 2027 from the 2026 O-line?

Leighton Jones as well would be back. Presuming both Pieper and Lauck head to the NFL. Cael Winter might be the starting C and that would give us 3 returning linemen. Overall I feel better about the strength of the room than I have in a long time.

Is he projected to be a tackle? His recruit profile says interior o-line, but that doesn't necessarily mean a ton.

that's right, I had forgotten about Leighton Jones. So, in 2027 we should have two returning guards. The tackle spots and center will probably be something like Parliament, Leonarrd, and Winter, which seems like a lot of young talent but not a lot of game experience. I am not holding out much hope that either Peiper or Lauck return to Iowa in 2027, but it would be nice. It does appear that our O-line room is steadily building both quality and depth.
