Will be close as to whether they get drafted, but Hank Beaty and Lewis Bond could be drafted late.

The Minnesota/Rutgers QB whose extremely long name I won't even try to massacre is on the board. He went to Carmel of Mundelein and Antioch

With Tate being taken #4 in the draft, is that the highest a Chicago area player has ever been picked in the NFL draft?

Donovan McNabb went #2 overall
Simeon Rice went #3 overall

I don't know if I would classify him as a Chicago area player because he went to Marist for a year then spent the next 3 at IMG. So yes he's from Chicago and played a season but I think he claims IMG. JJ McCarthy spent 3 years at Naz and played in two State games, Tates stay was very brief

Tate claims Marist and has been generous to the school. Whether Marist can claim him is debatable but he’s Chicago. Hell he lost his mother to “Chicago” That qualifies him as a local kid in my book.

He is absolutely is from Chicago and knowing where he is from I don't blame him for leaving for IMG, it was the correct decision and it's paid dividends for him. His stay at Marist was short lived though.

Flyers' Keontez Lewis signed with the Bucs.

Lewis was well-traveled in his collegiate career, spending time at UCLA, Wisconsin and Southern Illinois before his final year at Oklahoma.

Lewis won one of the starting WR jobs last fall, but he only played in nine games, making seven starts, due to injuries. When he was on the field, he was a reliable possession receiver for the OU offense, and he was missed on the outside when he was unable to play.
