95% of us all knew it was a bad hire. We all had to try and rally behind him anyways because that was the only chance at all we'd be successful. it was 100% guaranteed failure if we stayed toxic trying to force Barnhart to oust him from the moment he was announced.

I am not pulling against our team. I want us and Pope to succeed, and I believe there is still plenty of time to do so. However its been very underwhelming thus far. There have been injuries that have really hurt us, but I just dont have confidence that he will get it done. i hope I am wrong!
The first years injury situation I think really cost us a chance at a good seed and potential Final Four. Last year I don't think it was ever in the cards. I never liked how that team was put together. I didn't like Jaland Lowe, I thought he was underweight and took bad shots, I didn't like taking a chance on JQ. ACL's in basketball still take a longer time than football and I thought it was rather stupid to take him. I was one of the few people that was saying we should have taken Braylon Mullins over Jasper Johnson for less money. We waited forever on Braden Smith, and everyone knew that Purdue was going to do everything to keep him. Mo D couldn't shoot. I think Pope listened to the wrong people, and boosters now have an outsized influence in recruiting because they are the ones footing the bill. I hated the construction of that team last year. I never drank the kool aid last year. I'm very concerned for this year, but this year's team at least has a lot of upside.
