Haven’t heard the details of this, but that’s a very reasonable decision by Supertalk. That is reasonable for Supertalk. Brian is a Supertalk employee & they don't want him on a competing podcast.
They said it can be monthly but not weekly. I’ve been a huge fan of STM but not allowing one podcast a week? Robbie put his foot down and I am too. The best duo in state media is under attack.Haven’t heard the details of this, but that’s a very reasonable decision by Supertalk.
If Robbie’s employer wouldn’t let him be on a weekly Supertalk podcast, I understand that too (though possibly less so, Robbie’s website might benefit more from the cross promotion than the reverse)
It’s technically a competing podcast. Supertalk has every right to say that.Is Bu****** I’m boycotting. 17 that. They should be allowed to have a weekly podcast.
Say more. I didn’t see Robbie’s statement.Robbie put his foot down and I am too.
His tell em Faulk podcast you can get on Apple podcast, he lays it out pretty much.Say more. I didn’t see Robbie’s statement.
Did Robbie lay out that he’s the one that left? It’s sad, but honestly not surprising that Robbie did a sour grapes segment. His tell em Faulk podcast you can get on Apple podcast, he lays it out pretty much.
Very smart of Hadad. How many iterations of NIL has Mississippi State had? The ncaa rules seem to change every year. For various reasons 1878 could go the way of Bulldog Initiative by this time next year. Also Hadad said that 1878 tried to hire him as well and he said no.

"Tell 'em Faulk" was a reference to 1980's Road Warriors promos where Animal would go off before handing over to Hawk by going "Tell 'em Hawk".STM could potentially make an issue out of Robbie’s new podcast title, if they wanted to, considering that Tell ‘em Faulk was a segment on T&L, which I thought Hadad coined.
Mississippi State also has every right to not make Brian O’Conner available every Monday for his appearance on SportsTalk MS for 0.
He got a pay raise and he had to do less work. I wouldn't turn that down either.I got turned off of Robbie with the whole schtick about he was leaving because people don't understand how demanding the job is and he wanted more time with his family - when in reality he was going to do almost the exact same job. Why not just say "I have an opportunity be a part of a start up that I couldn't pass up, and I am really excited and can't wait until I can announce what it is."? Go listen to that drivel of BS from the announcement episode and you won't be the least bit surprised that he did a sour grapes episode (as Woozman correctly pointed out). He is a victim with no self awareness.
He has one of the best memories I've ever seen. Plus has quick wit which is what makes him good on radio. And he's ugly as hell.Although he talks like he isn’t, Hadad is pretty sharp.
He certainly has a face for radioHe has one of the best memories I've ever seen. Plus has quick wit which is what makes him good on radio. And he's ugly as hell.
I am excited for Carlo during football season. I think the podcast will be a lot better having an outside point of view. The kid has talent, just needs to build more chemistry.I may be in the minority, but I'm not sad Robbie left T&L. I appreciate what he did here at MWD, but I was never a fan of his podcast stint with Brian. I laughed everytime Brian would talk about a certain subject for like 5 minutes and then ask Robbie what he thought and Robbie would repeat the same points Hadad made because he wasn't listening. I have him muted on twitter because he's so pissy.
So far I like Carlo Baronne. It's nice to have a fresh voice on the podcast.
I did not know that - thanks"Tell 'em Faulk" was a reference to 1980's Road Warriors promos where Animal would go off before handing over to Hawk by going "Tell 'em Hawk".
The job at 1878, a start up website, is paying Faulk more than all the other entities he worked for?He got a pay raise and he had to do less work. I wouldn't turn that down either.
He worked for Starkville Daily News and On3. Neither one sounds incredibly lucrative. The job at 1878, a start up website, is paying Faulk more than all the other entities he worked for?
Not that I thought he made significant money in his old jobs but....
If so, Someone made a nice investment in 1878 to fund the payroll.
And did T&L. And did a radio show for Supertalk too on the local Starkville station. He worked for Starkville Daily News and On3. Neither one sounds incredibly lucrative.
I wouldn't either. He got a pay raise and he had to do less work. I wouldn't turn that down either.

You’d be surprised at how many posters on this board do!He certainly has a face for radio
That's the only thing quick about him.He has one of the best memories I've ever seen. Plus has quick wit which is what makes him good on radio. And he's ugly as hell.
I’m going with 90 percentYou’d be surprised at how many posters on this board do!
