Super talk saying Hadad and Robbie can’t podcast

That is reasonable for Supertalk. Brian is a Supertalk employee & they don't want him on a competing podcast.
Haven’t heard the details of this, but that’s a very reasonable decision by Supertalk.
If Robbie’s employer wouldn’t let him be on a weekly Supertalk podcast, I understand that too (though possibly less so, Robbie’s website might benefit more from the cross promotion than the reverse)

Yeah.. not surprised by that but it does suck.. Robbie did what was best for him, but sometimes you can't have your cake and eat it too

They said it can be monthly but not weekly. I’ve been a huge fan of STM but not allowing one podcast a week? Robbie put his foot down and I am too. The best duo in state media is under attack.

His tell em Faulk podcast you can get on Apple podcast, he lays it out pretty much.
Did Robbie lay out that he’s the one that left? It’s sad, but honestly not surprising that Robbie did a sour grapes segment.

Also Hadad said that 1878 tried to hire him as well and he said no. Given that, you still think it’s ok for Hadad’s employer to allow him to do a weekly crossover pod? I know my employer isn’t going to let me go work once per week with a competitor that tried to hire me.

STM could potentially make an issue out of Robbie’s new podcast title, if they wanted to, considering that Tell ‘em Faulk was a segment on T&L, which I thought Hadad coined.

I've been surprised SuperTalk allowed ANYTHING outside of their control and that it's taken this long to bring it up. If someone is listening to a podcast on Spotify, Apple, whatever, that means they aren't tuned into SuperTalk Radio and that never made sense to me. And personally, less Robbie is a "big big plus" for me, 1878 limiting his access behind basically a paywall works for me too

I got turned off of Robbie with the whole schtick about he was leaving because people don't understand how demanding the job is and he wanted more time with his family - when in reality he was going to do almost the exact same job. Why not just say "I have an opportunity be a part of a start up that I couldn't pass up, and I am really excited and can't wait until I can announce what it is."? Go listen to that drivel of BS from the announcement episode and you won't be the least bit surprised that he did a sour grapes episode (as Woozman correctly pointed out). He is a victim with no self awareness.

I may be in the minority, but I'm not sad Robbie left T&L. I appreciate what he did here at MWD, but I was never a fan of his podcast stint with Brian. I laughed everytime Brian would talk about a certain subject for like 5 minutes and then ask Robbie what he thought and Robbie would repeat the same points Hadad made because he wasn't listening. I have him muted on twitter because he's so pissy.

So far I like Carlo Baronne. It's nice to have a fresh voice on the podcast.

"Tell 'em Faulk" was a reference to 1980's Road Warriors promos where Animal would go off before handing over to Hawk by going "Tell 'em Hawk".

He got a pay raise and he had to do less work. I wouldn't turn that down either.

I am excited for Carlo during football season. I think the podcast will be a lot better having an outside point of view. The kid has talent, just needs to build more chemistry.

The job at 1878, a start up website, is paying Faulk more than all the other entities he worked for?

Not that I thought he made significant money in his old jobs but....

If so, Someone made a nice investment in 1878 to fund the payroll.

He worked for Starkville Daily News and On3. Neither one sounds incredibly lucrative.

I have listened to T&L for years. Once people learned they could upset Robbie by asking/saying stupid things, it got kind of sad. Robbie never seemed to figure out thattrolls will just be trolls. He tried to understand irrational behavior of being a troll. But T&L with Robbie as a sidekick was fun. Hadad does suck when he goes solo for the most part. His energy level picks up a lot when he has a cohost or guest to have a back and forth conversation along with points.

I have listened to a couple podcasts since<enter new guy name here when I learn it> joined T&L. They seemed to be heading in the right direction with the energy and overall method to the madness of the podcast. It's somewhat entertaining and adds in some updates on things like injuries, depth charts, progression, inside scoops etc... HAIL STATE!!!
