Saw this on FB, so if you had to pick a running back who you got?

1. Norwood
2. Boobie
3. J.J.

But for the old timers, I would also give a shout out to Haddix and our best backfield tandem ever: Davis and Bowie.

We recruited what looked to be our best back ever and maybe one to rival Marcus Dupree - a guy named David Fair, he was a specimen. But he tore his ACL very early in his freshman season. I don't think he had 100 carries in his entire career. He was good guy.

I honestly think Dixon may be the best one. Just so much you can do with a guy like that. He can carry a team.
Yup. I think if you have a solid team, I'd give the edge to norwood. Both showed that they could carry a Crooms team to an extent, but I think I'd go with Boobie if you had a Crooms team. Just the extra size gives a little bit more value I think.

And sounded like a fun teammate to have too. A guy who can both motivate and keep it loose in the locker room is an underrated asset.

Keffer was the RB right when I started actually watching games. I don’t remember his skills but do remember his stats. In the year he was injured, he had nearly 200 yards in each of his first two games and was over 100 in the third when he got injured. There was still a fair amount of time in tue second half when he got injured I think, so his 161 yards per game was lower than it would’ve been

The only answer is Jerious freaking Norwood and the only reason it's close is because Anthony Dixon is there at 2. Don't forget that Norwood ran a 4.3 something (don't give me the official 4.4 from the interweb BS), could change directions without slowing down, had a spin move, and could break tackles pretty well for a fast guy. Nobody could catch him. Here's a helluva run to win the game against Flarda after most running backs would have sat out with the injury Norwood had that game. Don't forget he was out a season due to knee injury with the Falcons. That astroturf greatly shortened his career. Jerious is the man, but so is Dixon. Love both those guys.

Norwood had the worst offense around him, did the most with least. Also had absolute breakaway speed. So I'd have to put him #1.

Tough call and it could go either way, but I would probably go JJ, then Dixon. Then Dicenzo or Haddix or Ballard. Hell you can't go wrong.

Fitzgerald is in a totally separate category, followed by John Bond, Dak, then Rockey or Omarr.

I don't like this. It's like picking my favorite kid.

Norwood’s style of play reminded me of Gale Sayers. So shifty, fast as lightning and hard to tackle.
