not surprising at all Montclair is in that position. they are one of the schools that stayed closed the longest because of covid, and then spent more than anybody on mental health with special aides and tutors in subsequent years needed for the kids they ****** up and made dumber.

They also spent a fortune to upgrade "ventilation" at one of their schools.

Montclair schools also have high staff salary for ******** DEI positions, compared to other districts. you have idiots in charge from the left this is what happens.

let it burn
would like to hear @zappaa s thoughts on this

Super teams and illegal transfers happening in girls flag football before it’s even an official sport. These coaches and administrators have some egos. Not like this charter school doesn’t have enough problems that it needed this latest controversy. Who knew about the all star girls flag football circuit?https://www.nj.com/highschoolsports...-is-corrupting-flag-football-coaches-say.html
Wasn’t the principal or super making like $500k @ these college achieve schools?

Yep. Highest paid educators in the state. Multiple layers of fraud and nepotism.

Seems to be a common occurrence with urban schools lately. I’m sure schools is suburbia pull some shady **** but these are the ones that are drawing mass attention. I really wish it wasn’t so - it’s more about the coaches winning than the players learning/developing.

hard to imagine high schools dropping sports. huge part of the teen experience especially when such a tiny percentage go on to play college. Sports gives them so many life lessons, even the less talented kids that ride the bench but want to be part of something. Just 5 years ago my town was a football powerhouse - a Friday night game was a packed house. This year was a disaster - bunch of transfers to privates, some 8th graders choosing privates, overall numbers down = attendance was pathetic. Really sad and I don’t see it improving
You learn more in the dugout than the field.

If you’ve ever coached, you know what I mean.
