Should be a quality depth piece with room to grow as a player, Solid addition.
Is she athletic or a good defender? If she's both I hope she develops into a Kylie role off the bench
Think of her as an athletic 2-4. Some scoring ability decent defense, needs to mature a bit more and Iowa should be a very good spot for her. Obviously someone Carnegie thought would be pretty good for us.
Edit: Iowa is calling her a Forward so maybe we are treating her as a stretch 4. Meaning we still have a guard option out.
I think depth at the 4 spot is still a need.

I would say both. She had been listed as a guard for Georgia. I believe she will be developed for a hybrid 3/4/wing. At the moment she most likely projects towards the end of the bench. She will need to demonstrate competence shooting from 3 and good decision making with the ball in order to progress. Her minimal stats suggest excellent defensive effort (rebounding, steals and shot blocking) and a good assist/turnover ratio. IMO she will compete with Woliczko (mainly) and Houston for game time.
She's listed at 6'1, so my guess is that Iowa sees her as a 3/4 kind of player? She'll only be a sophomore so we'll see how she progresses.

She is your 4 depth. It has been a pretty widely known that the F/C pool is pretty small and incredibly expensive. It appears we are trying to fill the depth with Faison that she can then swing to the 3. They have said multiple times they wanted a stretch 4. This appears to be it.
Six SEC offers, two ACC offers, as a prep. If the skills match the offers, a possible big bench upgrade. 6ft1 G/F gives JJ some versatility. Welcome to IC.

So she is not the stretch 4 that they said they wanted in the portal. So is she a 2/3? Hawkeye of the Storm reported her as a Forward.
I just read your article. Even in your article you label her as a 3. FYI - thanks for the free article. So if she is a 3 are we looking for another 4, and then filling out with a final guard spot.
All these 3 or 4s don’t matter to me. Didn’t Kate Martin run the 4 sometimes?
The 4 out 1 in offense is more about having ball handlers rather than a true point guard. They've got Chit-Chat, Carnegie, Stremlow and Whiting, so I think they're good in that department.

This roster is averaging over 76 points per game. That does not include McKenna. With four guards that can shoot from the perimeter, the lane should open up. Not to mention Journey as a solid mid-range jumper as does Woliczko. I see next uears team being a very good offense. She will earn playing time because of her length and willingness to play defense.
