Is this the worst UK recruiting class in UK history?

It doesn’t matter where it ranks comparatively to past recruiting classes, Pope can literally write multi million dollar checks to players!

When you factor in the pay for play aspect, it’s probably the worst recruiting haul among the top 25 programs in the NIL era.

If you are able to, continue to keep your head in the sand, and don’t take it out until next season is over, because things are going to get WAY worse before they get better.

Please tell me there was a worse one under BG or Tubby.
Is Pope trying to lower the bar all time?
[/QUO and could be one of the most negative and innuendo fan bases of all time predicting Armageddon

Not counting transfers is silly imo. Ndiaye isn't a transfer either, so he counts as a 'recruit', not a transfer. Since he's probably a starter, he's maybe at worst roughly equivalent to a #30-40?

However, 05/06 is by far the worst - Carter and Williams. Sims was a Juco transfer.

Also, 24/25 was probably the second worst - Perry and Noah (with the other 8 transfers or so)

04/05 is rather bad too with Perry, Thomas, Obrzut, and Alleyne. They came with Patrick Sparks though.

The class before Mashburn was awful - Brassow, Braddy, Bearup, and Parks - 89/90

Also I think 81/82 may be worse. We only got Troy McKinley from Independence, KY and Mike Ballenger from Jasper, Indiana. McKinley only had an offer from George Washington before winning the Sweet 16. Ballenger transferred to WKU.

Another low class was 75/76 with Truman Claytor, Dwane Casey, and Bob, the Frog, Fowler. Casey was recommended by the governor? Fowler died at age 32 while at Keeneland. That's really sad.

It’s absolutely the worst if you’re going by the traditional way of judging by just high school recruits. Unless you’re being nice by adding the portal guys and then it’s only slightly better than some of the worst.

Easily Tubby’s worst was the Shagari, Woo, Thomas and Perry class. Williams and little Hawthorne aren’t ranked remotely close to most of the guys in that Tubby class.
This isnt a terrible class. Especially if we land a couple of those top Euro players.

By high school recruits, Tubby's worst is Jared Carter and Adam Williams. Pitino's first class in 89/90 with Brassow and Joe B Halls 81/82 class were probably just as bad.
