A lot of people repeat this and take credit for it but it is just as likely that his third straight losing season culminating in a 2-10 record caused his firing.

You're entitled to your opinion but it is erroneous. The last two schedules have been the two most difficult in school history and our performance against them is superior to all the years I listed.
There were actually more seasons in that range where performance against schedule was weaker than the last two seasons but I generously omitted the ones with single digit losses or elite eight advancements and there are only two sweet 16's in this list.
You actually think Pope's two seasons are worse than '89 and '21 even? or '08 and '09 which are a worse record against much weaker schedules for that matter?

If pope loved Kentucky like he claims he does, he would walk away. If not, he deserves everything coming his way.
Early on in Pope’s time at Kentucky it would be considered eating our own. At this point, we are simply trying to save the program.

But you didn’t answer my question. Why do you hang out with people you deem to be losers? Don’t deflect.
The fans who are criticized for being too harsh probably love this program far more than the people who pretend to be positive all the time. Otherwise, they wouldn't be angry.
In an ideal situation, people will support the program with positivity when doing well, but hold those in charge of the program accountable when things are going in the wrong direction.
There's a difference in holding people accountable versus out right hatred. You probably don't understand that though. And I'm not trying to be snarky, it's just a problem with society in general.

Most are mad at Pope and not Stokes. They are mad because Pope wasted 2 years, being 100% clueless that Stokes was playing him. The fact that he signed papers for Kansas before his last UK visit is absurdity on both Pope and Stokes. Most of here was more about the "perception is reality" if we landed Stokes.
Will Stein has never had a HC job, but he learned from successful people. He learned from Dan Lanning at Oregon, who was a DC under Kirby Smart, who Kirby Smart was an asst. coach at Bama under Saban. Look at that line. Stein's philosophy is, we want the studs, but we will not let the studs dictated our roster if they do not want to commit in a reasonable time.
If Pope had Stein's recruiting philosophy, Stokes would have been out the door and left in the dust.
Stein proved this when the #1 QB was interested but his agent and brother didn't want him to commit to UK yet so they can fish around. Stein said okay but no thanks and got our current QB now which seems to have some decent potential.
I agree that the bullying comments and hatred are out of line. No one should attack him for his religion or his personality. I think we can all agree though that he is a horrible coach and that Kentucky has no chance at being a contender again until he is gone. Let's try to keep the focus on his terrible performance as a coach and at his job and not the personal attacks. In fairness though I do think most are not hurling personal attacks at him but for those that do let's call it out and say its not necessary. There is plenty to criticize just from his job performance.
