What a throw by Tyler Howe to try and get the runner at home but Coastal evens up the scores with a single to shallow left
Our lack of hitting yet again is showing up just like the second gane in the dook series. We have to get the bats going.
career high strikeouts for Walker at 8, previous high was seven he'd done it a few times most recently against South Carolina...but a single up the middle past a diving Schaffner gives Coastal the lead
We still have 4 innings and would have had at least runners 1st and 2nd one out if not for a great play by the pitcher
Bad outfield play this inning. Teams run on Tyler.. and infield play..
Offense isn’t good enough and as usual against good competition they beat themselves. We’ve seen it time and time again in the college baseball tournament. Botched double plays, routine throws to first and tonight a fly ball to center leads to two runs.

Calling that a double is kind of wild to me. Fairly routine play for an ACC CF. Ridiculous that McDuffie currently in line for a loss with how he’s thrown.
Howe has had an aweosme arm this whole year…and almost gunned him at home with an awesome throw

Both of those runs earned but it wasn’t a defensive gem of an inning.
He was not much deeper than SS when the runner was rounding 3rd. . And teams run on him. Great player. Not a great arm That’s why he is in lf and Jackson in Right
I don’t know what to tell you but that play should be made 100% of the time. This isn’t 12 year old little league baseball. That’s a routine play for guys being paid to play baseball.
Time to move gavin in the lineup. Cant stare at 6 pitches in the same location and not swing 3-2. Too close to take. Geez
He didn't get a good read, and drifted, which any high school outfielder is coached not to do. Not a routine play, but one that should be made.

I don't know the nuance of hitting, but it looks like anytime Owen has a bad AB, he pulls his head out before he swings and doesn't see the ball.

Certainly fair, yet that same 3B made what should have been ruled an error that led to a 2 run homer by Nicholson.....it's baseball.
