It’s not about fit. Maybe he’d be a good fit, maybe he wouldn’t. It’s about perception. Pope is being laughed at nationally. If Stokes chooses Kansas, Pope will have just whiffed again, this time with Shaq (whose daughter committed here) and Barkley looking on. Hard to recover from whiffing on the NBA pregame show that most watch.
