I think you're talking about Crookham. Crook is 141 pounder in the portal from Virginia Tech. He visited here. He's on Iowa now

Not convinced Santaniello would be an upgrade from Parkins.. as he was the #29 recruit..so potential still there..It’s too bad little Harer can’t make 141 because 149 had a lot of real solid AA possible type guys. 141 past crook is Santaniello and that’s it basically
That’s a good comparison . Moore did make the R12 and beat some real good guys during the season I’d gladly take the same results from crookNot convinced Santaniello would be an upgrade from Parkins.. as he was the #29 recruit..so potential still there..
Crook would pretty much gtd 141 would be at least a NQ weight as he’s already been in 3x NQ… if Crook ends up transferring here reminds me of Mitch Moore. He was 4x NQ and both would have transferred from VT to RU and wrestle at 141…
He's on Iowa now
sorry, just talking possibilities....Did Crook commit? Or are you just making an educated guess?
good for himSmith officially to Iowa State
Harer is going 149 and I have a feeling we will land Crook for 141.Can Nini or Harer make 141 or are both going 149? Will Harer be healed up?
don't sleep on parkinsHarer is going 149 and I have a feeling we will land Crook for 141.
Who wins between Harer and Nini? Is Nini trying to go 141?Harer is going 149 and I have a feeling we will land Crook for 141.
Sorry, but Parkins looked nothing like a NQ last year, in route to an 8-9 record in redshirt. Can he get better, sure. But depending on him to man 141 next year, is not going to yield a good outcome.don't sleep on parkins
He absolutely planned a visit and talked to West Virginia I was told by someone directly involved in the program. He is the first person they contacted.Maybe he never went on the visit but I heard a lot of primmadonna and diva talk and Flynn wanted no part of itCrook never visited West Virginia and does not plan that visit as RU is his first.
Maybe spending the off-season with Sasso and Ashnault might help?Sorry, but Parkins looked nothing like a NQ last year, in route to an 8-9 record in redshirt. Can he get better, sure. But depending on him to man 141 next year, is not going to yield a good outcome.
Pretty solid lineup if we land Crook..Well he did not visit WV so let’s get the facts straight. Picking him up at the airport now. Nini, Magro and Harer battle it out at 149. Gibson knows he needs to go to 133 and battle Ungar and Towson.
It's possible everyone is ranked in the top 25 to start the year. Maybe not little Harer as they are usually pretty harsh on the freshmen until they get a ranked win. Curious to see where they rank Knox.Pretty solid lineup if we land Crook..
25- Knox
33- Ungar
41- Crook
49- Harer

97- Cotton

Maybe Ford too.. what were his ranked wins last year? For Knox.. think it might depend on how he does at U.S. Open.. but yeah freshmens usually start low and have to earn their rankings unless they beat some college guys in opens/events prior to start of season. It's possible everyone is ranked in the top 25 to start the year. I think his biggest win was against the Illinois kid who I believe was ranked top 20 at the time.Maybe Ford too.. what were his ranked wins last year? He beat Collin Kelly who I think was in the low 20's? Majored him as well. I know he also beat Noah Mulvaney of Bucknell at Midlands by major. I think he finished in the round of 16 at NCAA's. His only losses were the Ryan Burton and Mesenbrink.Maybe Ford too.. what were his ranked wins last year? Does no one think champman is gonna start? He was a much bigger recruit then ford and this time last year I feel like everyone was had penciled him as a 4 yr starterPretty solid lineup if we land Crook..

Chapman was #68 recruit and Ford was outside the top 150 so you are right no one expected Ford to emerge.. but like I always say recent results always hold the most weight and Ford has looked more impressive from last year.. so I would imagine Ford would be the fav to start for now. Wouldn’t be shocked if they switched off starts in duals until B10 season.Does no one think champman is gonna start? That’s good Wng. Is it bc he’s been winning in the room? Have you seen a big improvement jump or is it bc u feel he’s a good person or is it some combination lol.I think Chappy can start!
He didn’t have a bad year , we all knew he was a raw prospect coming in and his first 4 matches were against ncaa qualifers and 3 of those were 1 TD loses. He finished pretty strong and beat a multI time qualifier Bassett and beat another tough redshirting freshman late in the season. Outside of Harer I feel like Chapman has the best chance to make a big jumpThat’s good Wng. Is it bc he’s been winning in the room? True, comparatively tho Ford’s year was slightly better; beating more ranked guys and only losing to Burton and Messenbrink(got a TD too). Rn feels like Ford got more upside.. can’t just assume Chapman will just jump lvls.. hope he does tho.He didn’t have a bad year , we all knew he was a raw prospect coming in and his first 4 matches were against ncaa qualifers and 3 of those were 1 TD loses. Cochran might be the sleeper of this years Portal...Not sure why he was shut down after 4-0 start last seasonPSU’s Cochran is in the portal.. a good pickup for a team that has legit chance to AA at 197/hwt.
Says he had to MFF out of Southern Scuffle. He will apply for medical RS for that year. I agree w ya with how much hwt clears he got decent shot to AA imo.Cochran might be the sleeper of this years Portal...Not sure why he was shut down after 4-0 start last season
Good chance he ends up at Penn State West ( Utah Valley) .. he’s from Utah and Cael have Hall seem to have a working relationship getting guys over thereSays he had to MFF out of Southern Scuffle. I agree w ya but I didn’t agree w let’s just drop this huge bag(long as it’s not a million) bc no one else is on the market and a needed weight. Exactly, Herrera might develop into an AA he might not but let’s not overpay relative to market.. plus we got Zalota that can wrestle in as soon as 2 years.. so hopefully no portal game again.. if anything, hopefully he doesn’t portal out.I actually prefer the idea of investing long-term into a guy like Herrera, as opposed to a 1-year mercenary like Cochran. Yes, there is AA potential, but then we are back to the same portal game again. Too stressful of a scenario.
Much agreed. I haven't watched any of Herrera's matches but he passes the eye test. Three time HS champ and a very good true freshman record at ISU with high bonus rates. Not sure of his opponents but techs, pins and majors for a true freshman HWT is good by me. Im going with he has a pretty good motor and isnt afraid to go after his opponents.I actually prefer the idea of investing long-term into a guy like Herrera, as opposed to a 1-year mercenary like Cochran.
