Its almost May so why not...

What schools had a rough go in 2025 that you expect to make a comeback in 2026?

Ill nominate Plainfield N. Despite their 0-5 conference record they were in every game except Oswego (defending 8A runner ups). Really solid lower levels especially freshmen. Wouldnt be surprised to see some sophs up on varsity. They may be the primary challenger to Oswego in the SouthWest Prairie West.

Byron seems to be able to compete. Also im interested in seeing how these classes change with 413 additional schools making it.

Why, because if you believe “they had a great season last year”, then that kinda eliminates them from the comback category. Make sense?
And as the season draws close, there will be plenty of opportunity to discuss who’s best in each class
