Michael Mocco lost to Merrill. 8 push outs to 1 TD. Just couldn’t stop getting pushed around. Merrill is very powerful and compact.
Younger Mocco wins a tight one and into the finals. Any chance he could get down to 197 and join big bro? Sounded like the previous answer was that he couldn’t get down, but looking at him, it looks like he could from 220.

Did I miss Kenny wrestling at seniors? Melvin wrestled a whole tournament. I’m not saying Kenny isn’t good, I’m actually very high on him but his performance this weekend was underwhelming. We don’t need to have an excuse or defend every bad performance, sometimes guys just don’t come out ready to go. I believe this was Kenny’s first year at U20’s so not the end of the world but doesn’t change the fact it was a bad tournament for him

Keep in mind that the top U20 61kg guys weren’t in the bracket.

He sounded like he was shocked there is pressure to win and live a good lifestyle at a program like Iowa. Did he think he could take the money and just jack off and get awarded the starting spot?? He doesn’t know TnT very well.
Except there was a history before he got to IC.

No one should have been shocked.

Okie State fans predicted problems a year ago.

Potentially of note, Chase Karenbauer out of PA won the U17 55kg. He is a class of 2028 and his older sister currently competes in gymnastics at Iowa. He has attended a couple Iowa camps and would be another good lightweight target in the 2028 class.
We don’t need more light weight guys in 28 unless it’s Sanchez. Need upper middle and upper weights.

Love the job Wes Phipps is doing at Grove City. He's young to.

Only fools would give up on Spencer if he's healthy.
Problem is that his body continues to breakdown. There are a lot of wrestling miles on that body. High level events and hundreds of workouts every year from the time he was 5. It feels like he dials back his workouts because of injuries, then his cardio suffers.
