If K, Roy and Dean are 3 of the 4 on the Mountain, who is the 4th?

Old-timers, please educate us

Valvano? Gary Williams? Case? Bubas?

Does Pitino’s time at Louisville qualify him? If so him if not I think you gotta give Gary the nod

I'd say The Goat, The Nose, ole Roy, and Sweat Gary Sweat are the Mount Rushmore. If Lefty or Bobby had won a title, maybe one of them. Case and Bubas didn't stay long enough. Same with Jimmy V.

Missed the NCAA tournament 5 times. 9 double-digit loss seasons. 98-88 in the ACC during that time. Never finished higher than 6th in the conference, save for his first year in the conference, when they finished 2nd. Losing record against the top teams in the conference. Never won an ACC championship of any kind.

Boeheim's record in the ACC Tournament was 7-10, and his teams never advanced past the semifinals. All this in 10 seasons in the conference. So, no, he's not on the Mount Rushmore of ACC coaching. In fact, it's a bit disrespectful to all the great coaches of the conference to even suggest as much.

He had a good run in the Big East. Acc not so much. I’d prob go with Valvano or Lefty, but neither belong with the other 3 obviously
Don’t disagree, but when I saw Pitino’s cheatin *** mentioned, I figured Boheim should be mentioned. I’m now on board with Gary Willam’s punk *** I guess.

I mean like him or not Pitino is 10x the coach jimmy b is. But I think neither spent enough time in the acc

Agree, but Boheim has the 6th most wins ever and spent time coaching Team USA under the GOAT (which has nothing to do with the ACC) just not as big of a scumbag as Ricky P.

Most of his success came when he was in the Big East. Cremins, Lefty, or Vic Bubas did more in the Acc. Terry Holland as well.

If Tony Bennett had stuck around longer, he'd be in the running. Took him 2 years in the ACC to get going, but won 76% thereafter.

If there's a place on the mountain for coaches who did more with less, Gary Williams would definitely get my vote.

I miss the Gary Williams/Maryland rivalry. Used to love watching those games circa 2000-2002 especially.
