Its a bottom line sum for Pope. If he gets Stokes, he played it right, if he doesn't, then he didn't and it way end up costing him his job because of the ceiling next years club will have. But Self is sitting in the same boat, except for the job security, but he is retiring anyway

Getting or not Stokes is not a Big deal like some want to make it. This is against UK narrative that we need to get Stokes to get a good team. That’s BS.

There are other very good players that you can still get and make a FF caliber team. My doubts are in MP abilities to assess, recruit , and develop players so I don’t think he can put together a FF team because he never coached at that level.

i will be pleasantly surprised if he does but there is still time , so why not….

For the most part, I'd prefer portal players over HS players, including most 5 stars. That being said. I hope he gets Stokes. He seems like a game changer. I seriously doubt Pope and staff have all their eggs in this one basket.

I hope we don’t land stokes as I think there is potential to be worse with him. As long as he has dragged out his recruitment he better be Anthony Davis good for whatever school he commits to but we already pretty much know that’s not the case. I’m just not an attention ***** fan and think he likely does not make the best college teammate. Not that he will be a team cancer or anything but team may have a hard time finding any cohesion with him on the court due to his selfish nature.
