Scott optioned down for Carl Edwards Jr.
Some fun facts about Carl Edwards Jr., who is about to become the 18th pitcher used by the Mets this year, a far cry from last year's record of 46.

1) He was drafted in 2011 in the 48th round, the 1464th player drafted that year. He beat the odds by appearing in his first MLB game in 2015. He crushed those odds by still being around 11 years later.

2) His nickname, per his Mets.com bio, is the "Stringbean Slinger". That's a compliment, I guess?

3) I remember him being pretty good once upon a time.

4) He has definite star quality and a very nice smile.

Lindor going to be out until at least a month from now. Will be in a boot for three weeks and then will get re-imaged. Yuck.

Now, imaging if boy genus kept Nimmo and McNeil. Signed Alonso back and went out and made the trade for Robert J and signed Bo.

He would be looking like he knew what he was doing and I am 100% sure, we would not have had a 12 game losing streak. We would have been in much better shape when Soto got injured as we would have still been very solid with Lindor out.

Hopefully the Mets can activate Stearns from the IL list

He’s been on the IL for close to 2 years

Really need to get rid of Mendoza and Stearns but for whatever reason, Cohen is afraid to. Dumpster fire roster, players out of position, lineup tweaks every day, and it always looks like Mendoza couldn’t care less. Aside from a few players, this is a very bad team

I’ve been the bandleader for Mendoza to be terminated !

He inspires boredom !

His lack of management and communication with the 9th inning fiasco with the relievers last night vs twins just reinforces how over his head is.
