Bassett beats NCAA champ Valencia. Miller up on Ncaa champ Henson 3-1. The two recruits that will be the ultimate downfall of Brands.

Says who? People absolutely should keep complaining for years to come or until something significant changes with the program. Guys like Bassett and Miller haven't exactly been lining up to come to Iowa City if you haven't noticed.
Lee looks solid so far. Lilledahl not too impressive so far in comparison, hard to see the gap being closed based on these first couple matches.
Davino just a different class of wrestler than desanto who really never came close to scoring unfortunately.

Someone on here recently seemed pretty confident that Merrill wouldn’t be a contender next year at HWT. Well they probably shouldn’t watch what he’s doing to Paris right now. Merrill is like a giant boulder, gonna be hard for anybody to score on him. Wouldn’t be surprised if him and Ross have a true fr vs true fr final at hwt next year which would be crazy.
Crazy tbh… Iowa St. had a terrible showing at this tournament besides Merrill, dude is going to be problems for the next 5 years.
