Yes we did, but cal.in his infinite wisdom kept switching on defense until undersized booker was on him and he just got backed down or shot over and abused. We were simply outcoached yet again.

Interesting. I would be curious what the portal rankings are as well. Getting good recruits is good, but freshman football players rarely contribute much right away unless they're the cream of the crop. On that note, I'm ecstatic with what Stein is doing, because highschool recruiting is definitely a big part of it. Do you have any idea what our portal ranking looks as of right now? That's basically how Indiana was able to instantly turn their program around. Their coach focuses on the portal much more than HS recruiting. Like this year, they have a top 5 portal class and will be a pre season top 10 even though they're not top 25 as far as 2027 hs recruits as far as I know.Honest question: Why carry the burden of BBN, when I can get the same or comparable money elsewhere?
