My cousin introduced me to his music back in the 70's. I was immediately impressed by his songwriting . I had the opportunity to see him in concert once, it was a great show. He just came out and played with his band minus any pyrotechnics or stage props

Thanks for the music Dave.

My high school friends brother had the Alone Together album which was my first introduction to Dave Mason and I had a reawakening when the music store across from the Dairy Bar turned me on to the Its Like You Never Left album and we played it in the Preston dorm consistently.
My wife and I saw him at a small gym in Chapel Hill in the early nineties and we still talk about that show. I just saw him a few months ago at the Peace Center in Greenville before he had to cancel the remaining dates due to illness. Although he was obviously not doing well he put on a really good show with many of his classic tunes. RIP - A True Talent

When I hear "Dave Mason", my mind immediately goes back to "We Just Disagree" from one of the tv-commercial K-Tel records albums........ 😭

Saw one of his last shows here in Gvl, before canceling tour.

Was it “Tunes & Things”? Little brunette always playing him.
Not to be confused with other record store bottom of Horseshoe next to Cornell Arms.
