Nice. 133 was a pressing need. Who do you guys think we roll with at 141 and 174? They're really the only weights up in the air. I'd love to see if Ford could gain some weight during the offseason he did great filling in for Lenny for a few duals last year.Nope, it's Ungar from Cornell.

whats he about 30 now?Let's hope Ungar can get back to his Soph. year form where he went 20-9/ 2-2 at Nationals and beat 7 ranked wrestlers. Hopefully rolling around with Knox all year can get him back there. I know Pollard won't get him there.
It'll be his fifth year so 22-23? He started as a true freshmanwhats he about 30 now?
I don't know enough about this can you please explain why you are saying this? Not saying I disagree genuinely askingUngar is the more important piece than Clark.
If this is his 5th yr then probably 25, as he was a 19 yo senior in HS supposedly and then did a grey shirt at Spartan RTC 2021-22.It'll be his fifth year so 22-23? He started as a true freshman
Yeah you're right. He should be announcing soon. He'll probably be same level as last year Shawver but maybe we can elevate him but who knows. Wrestlestat has him #24 at 133.If this is his 5th yr then probably 25, as he was a 19 yo senior in HS supposedly and then did a grey shirt at Spartan RTC 2021-22.
Who's going to elevate him? Has to be Ashnault, not who was coaching Shawver, Gibson, and Parkins. I'd have preferred someone not on a downward trajectory. I still like Gibson at 133 with better conditioning.Yeah you're right. He should be announcing soon. He'll probably be same level as last year Shawver but maybe we can elevate him but who knows. Well, why didn't the great Mike Grey and the rest of the Cornell staff (Kellen Russell, David McFadden) along with Yianni elevate him? More often it's the athlete not coaching but carry on with your crusade...Who's going to elevate him? Has to be Ashnault, not who was coaching Shawver, Gibson, and Parkins. If they didn't, Rutgers will? Geesh, if I were only prone to giggle.Well, why didn't the great Mike Grey and the rest of the Cornell staff (Kellen Russell, David McFadden) along with Yianni elevate him? More often it's the athlete not coaching but carry on with your crusade...
I would not expect any miracles from Unger but if his payday wasn’t outrageous and he can provide stability at 133 with a shot at making some noise at nationals it’s worth a shot.If they didn't, Rutgers will? Geesh, if I were only prone to giggle.
He didn’t age out of NJ thats been pointed out on here a few times that he left after his sophomore year bc he got recruited to green pond who scooped up 4/5 Nj that year to form their super team .Ungar was one of the top HS prospects in the country. Never got close to reaching what people thought was his potential. My guess is he was one of those lighter weights that was always way older than his opponents which is why he aged-out of NJ and ended up in PA his senior year. I’d pass unless the number is reasonable.
I was told he was going to age out and that’s why he went to PA. Which would make sense given all of the NJ private school wrestling options. I can’t think of one NJ kid going to PA unless there was an age issue, and in fact it’s usually the PA kids coming to NJ thinking winning a state championship is easier. If a kid is going to age out makes sense not to wait until senior year so him leaving sophomore year was smart. He didn’t age out of NJ thats been pointed out on here a few times that he left after his sophomore year bc he got recruited to green pond who scooped up 4/5 Nj that year to form their super team .
Flo is only place that had him ranked real high #21 overall , Willie had him higher and most places had him as the 5/6th guy at his weight class , he didnt win states ,Beast or ironman his senior yr so idk how big of a recruit he was
Green pond got ugner , Holden Garcia , another pburg kid who ended up quitting and Garrett tettemer from Delaware valley all transferred to green pond within a year of each otherI was told he was going to age out and that’s why he went to PA. K in that case I’ll trust you know more than I do on thisGreen pond got ugner , Holden Garcia , another pburg kid who ended up quitting and Garrett tettemer from Delaware valley all transferred to green pond within a year of each other
Who would be the starter @133’s if we don’t get a guy in the portal??? I have a little more faith in Parkins than anyone@133 if we don’t get ungar.I don't know enough about this can you please explain why you are saying this? Not saying I disagree genuinely asking
Imagine if Ungar transferred here after his freshman R12 year. People would just assume he’s a future multi time AA. He’s had some pretty good wins over his career.. wonder how bad his inj was his jr year… if he lost a step after that… hopefully not…Brett Ungar - One of the only high school state champions in both Pennsylvania and New Jersey.

Don’t think Holden Garcia quit. He wrestles for Princeton and best Pinto in the dual. He lost to Pinto 15-12 at NCAAs.Green pond got ugner , Holden Garcia , another pburg kid who ended up quitting and Garrett tettemer from Delaware valley all transferred to green pond within a year of each other
i didn’t say he quit the other pburg kid who went to green pond at the same time as Garcia did, I listed 4 people I just don’t remember the one kids nameDon’t think Holden Garcia quit. He wrestles for Princeton and best Pinto in the dual. He lost to Pinto 15-11 at NCAAs.
Tom Crook visited. Probably our best option unless we decide to give a young guy a shot.who are we looking at for 141
I agree Crook would be our best option he wrestled Oliveri to an 8-7 NCAA match. So really no drop off and maybe with a year in the room with Ashnault can elevate him.Tom Crook visited. Probably our best option unless we decide to give a young guy a shot.
He visited West Virginia first in his process and I heard he had such a diva attitude they didn’t even offer himI agree Crook would be our best option he wrestled Oliveri to an 8-7 NCAA match. So really no drop off and maybe with a year in the room with Ashnault can elevate him.
I get it, he's a head case (you said so before), but he hasn't done anything off the mat that would be considered negative. Beggars can't be choosers and what's in the room at the weight hasn't really inspired confidence. He visited West Virginia first in his process and I heard he had such a diva attitude they didn’t even offer him
Just passing on that a school more desperate then us passed up on himI get it, he's a head case (you said so before), but he hasn't done anything off the mat that would be considered negative. Beggars can't be choosers and what's in the room at the weight hasn't really inspired confidence.
Morgantown WV doesn’t do divas…New Brunswick NJ is a different story.Just passing on that a school more desperate then us passed up on him
Ha! Aint that the truth. Crook is kind of a bitchy boy, drama queen though.Morgantown WV doesn’t do divas…New Brunswick NJ is a different story.
Considering Poulin graduates, and Castillo just transferred out.. Ayden would be a great fit there.. think he would have inside track to start...I saw Ayden is visiting Iowa State today I'm sure he'd do well there.
They currently have zero 125s on the rosterConsidering Poulin graduates, and Castillo just transferred out.. Ayden would be a great fit there.. think he would have inside track to start...
Did Crook commit? Or are you just making an educated guess?Knox
Ungar
Crook
should be a good start to duals.
I would like to see Ayden land someplace he can start.
Seems like a solid person
