I'm curious to see what they'd offer him; I'm sure it won't be Kerr money(I think he's making about $20mil per year).

Kerr is the highest paid NBA coach at $17.5 mil per year.

They will not pay the next guy that.

Gator Nation could soil themselves now, and Golden could up his girl trolling game.
For the vast percentage they’d gladly have this happen if it could mean somehow Lane Kiffen would change his mind about which University he chose to attempt to be the Bobby Hurley of SEC football coaches.

You can tell who has a weak mindset by who wants him to leave. I personally want him to stay at UF and make the SEC better not weaker.

I knew you chicken littles were weak.. 😂

Hey now, in case you haven’t noticed, we suck. I used to root against SEC football teams so we could maybe win a few games. Sadly I now do that with basketball.

I’m guessing most would want to see him fail extremely quickly in the NBA so he’ll need to come back to college coaching ASAP at Kentucky if Pope is still here somehow someway by then.

On the one hand, even if you want to call me a selfish old man (or call me an AI since others seem to like it) but I definitely want this to happen because it will mean all of Florida’s players will have an extended portal to enter based on their current coach leaving

On the other hand we still will have Pope trying to recruit them.

At least it sounded like good news for a little bit.

More often than not college coaches struggle to be as successful in the NBA as they were in college. There are some exceptions but overall they don’t have a very good track record, we will see if that happens.

I hope to God not. If he leaves, Florida might get a guy that is a potential Mark Pope replacement. I really hope Jai Lucas burned a bunch of bridges when he transferred from there as a player.

They’re going to be ticked to death when they find out what a lot of us know. Jon can flat out coach. With the resources, the way their recruiting at Florida again and the way kids play for him, thats a great combination to be special. I’m as happy as I can be with our Football coach, but I admit Jon Sumrall was definitely my first choice. (I wouldn’t trade for anything now), Both of us got more than either fanbase could hope for I believe. It’s all about Ws though so we’ll see what happens.

Why does a good coach want to go to Golden St now?

Curry is past prime
Draymond is a headcase that now averages 8pts, 5 reb and 41% FG and 32%3pt
Jimmy Buckets is past his prime and injured now

I mean that roster is a disaster.....it's like the Bulls roster after Jordan retired....it's going to be a mess for years to come

Great news if it comes to fruition! Get him out of the SEC. Kentucky doesn't have the balls to hire someone as good as him, so we might as well show him to the door before he further embarrasses our cult mindset coach.
Yeah but as a life long warriors fan. That’s pretty much the end of the curry era. It was a hell of a run though.

GSW is about to be a bottom feeder for a while. Curry too old, draymond tight there with him and. Butler is done. They whiffed on Wiseman and Kuminga is gone. Its gonna be a rough few seasons and youre no longer locked into a top3 pick as a bottom feeder.. not a job id want following up Curry/Kerr/company.

Rooting against other SEC football teams is still strongly encouraged. This is the way. A stronger conference in basketball will earn UK more respect when they win

Sadly I don’t think basketball is gonna win much for a while.

Pope might be a genius! Save our nil budget to get all of Floridas players if Golden leaves.

I mean the timing couldn’t be more perfect! It’s almost like the basketball Gods got together and said, “Let’s F with BBN with this main course, before we serve up their dessert of Stokes picking Kansas!”😩
What did we ever do to deserve this plate of ****....

Let's say creepy arse Golden goes to stalk USF coeds as the Warriors HC in San Francisco and Donovan decides he does not want to deal with coaching kids in the NIL era of college basketball. Should this transpire after the portal closes at midnight tonight, can't the UF players essentially enter the portal when it is closed should if the HC leaves?

Watch Donovan just take the GS job himself though.
