Nice insight into how agents operate (and lie), where too many simply are not looking out for their clients.

I don't think so, any more than a C Store looking across the street at their competitors gas price. Price fixing is when you agree to a favorable price to "fix" the market. With all the competition in BB, that would be impossible. So schools are calling each other asking how much they are paying. Does this bring up the question of price fixing?
1. Price fixing is when schools collaborate together to bring down the asking price of a school. So schools are calling each other asking how much they are paying. Does this bring up the question of price fixing?
Agent is simply a euphemism for sales person. They see their job as bringing in the highest price and to do that by making their product look like it is better and in higher demand than it really is.I don't think so, any more than a C Store looking across the street at their competitors gas price. Agents. A lot of scum out there.
I'm sure coaches talk to each other all the time. Likely in this case Barrett was told something that sounded weird from the recruit/agent so she looked into it. I'm sure on the flip side, if a recruit was using false prices from Barrett/Iowa, Barrett would want to know.So schools are calling each other asking how much they are paying. Does this bring up the question of price fixing?
I also assume they are lying about lying.
school A really wants a player. school B calls school A and asks them how much they are offering the player. School A lies to school B by saying a small number. School B then lowers their offer to the player and School A gets the player for the real amount. Which was a little more than they were saying.
it’s what I would do.

I kind of wondered about that as well, if the schools are being truthful when she calls. Its like the NFL draft when a team puts it out there who they're going to take, and then they take someone totally different....I also assume they are lying about lying.

You’re correct but I think the point was there’re scum agent who lie to drive up the costAgent is simply a euphemism for sales person. They see their job as bringing in the highest price and to do that by making their product look like it is better and in higher demand than it really is.
I have a feeling you’re right.I am pretty certain this was in reference to McCowan. If you want the test case on what not to do in the portal it’s McCowan.
Sports agents are near the top of the list of people who generally need to be punched in the face.
